Giant Battle Skirmish
Coming from a background in miniatures games like Warhammer, yes I think this would be cool as a concept, but I think that the IA rules are probably a bit fiddly for significantly larger games. It gives a really good feel for squad-level combat, with small forces on special missions it works great. For larger scale combats, like company level and above, I think you'd need to revisit the mechanics, I also think a smaller scale of figure would be great. I'd have a hard time storing an AT-AT at this scale, and I *would* want an AT-AT!
Having said that, with patience, a lot of in-game admin and a day to kill, a large game of IA is certainly doable. But I would definitely suggest you add some scenery in! I don't know what stats you've given your AT-AT, but I imagine it's got a decent range. It's only fair to let people try and get to some cover rather than just walking straight into the guns, Napoleonic-era style! ?
wow. that AT-AT is great. where did you get it?

It's a second hand Revell easy kit from eBay, repainted, its slightly small but nor far off scale to the figures.

I love this idea!
