SWD07A?

By Kyle Ren, in Star Wars: Destiny

Why is the number for Empire at War SWD07A? What's the A for? All the previous ones are just the number, SWD01, SWD02, SWD03, etc.

Also, what happened to SWD06? I know SWD05 is a playmat, but where's SWD06? I didn't find that one.

Am I reading too much into this?

Sorry, answered half of the second question, SWD05 is a playmat

5 and 6 could be secondary print runs for Awakenings and SoR

Starter Decks 2017, would make sense. Before you say the numbering doesn't make sense, this has happened in their LCG with deluxe boxes, but that would explain two numbers. Not one missing, hmm.

In X-wing we noticed a number missing once (let's say it was 58) and we all agonised over it for years. Then, at the start of this year, they announced some new stuff: three of them were numbered 64-67 as expected, but the fourth was the long-missing 58.

I think the numbers represent the item's position in the development cycle, rather than the release cycle. We might not see SWD06 for years.

A different playmat is coming out soon it could be that

Yes, I remember the SWX58 dilemma... it just seems weird that Destiny has a missing number since their releases are very predictable (3 per year, with the one in December also having a core set).

I'm also not familiar with letter-type nomenclature. Why SWD07A? Will there be a second run as SWD07B?
