Imperial bomb crew

2 points, Imperial only, add a bomb icon to the bar, add some sort of bombing potency effect.

Who's it going to be? What's it going to say?

My bet:

FN-2199

"Your upgrade bar gains the <bomb> icon. When a friendly bomb would deal one or more facedown damage cards to an enemy ship, for each damage card you may instead draw and look at two damage cards, and choose one to assign facedown. Then, flip that card faceup."

How about:

"When a friendly ship drops a bomb, it may use any 1 or 2 speed manoeuvre template instead of the 1 [straight]."

Or

"After an enemy ship rolls attack dice due to a bomb detonating, before they apply damage you may cancel their results and add one [Crit] result."

That being said... how about, instead of a bomb buff, Imperials become the 'anti-bomb' faction and gain some way for agile ships to mitigate damage?

What would an Imperial anti-bombing upgrade look like?

Well, Imperials don't have a monopoly on high-agi/low-hp ships that could use some tools vs bombs, if there's going to be anti-X tech, it should be available for all ships that fit the criteria of "needing it", à la Autothrusters

Torpedo, 2 points. Imperial Only.

Gain a bomb slot. When you would place a bomb with the 1 straight, instead place it with the 1 left bank, and place a copy of that bomb with the 1 right bank.

Gain a bomb slot and may drop 1 maneuver and 1 action bomb a turn.
