Good grief! That's a load of cash. Maybe if I get my SW Destiny collection sold off I might, MIGHT consider that.

1) You shouldn't need to double-up on everything as long as you both don't want to play the same decks.

2) You only need the three cores if you just HAVE to have a playset of everything in the core. With two players you're likely to want two because of neutral stuff but again if you don't want to play the same decks...

3) I don't think they'll get stuff out that fast. I think it is the plan for a $15 pack every month (which is aprox. not going out for lunch on Fridays) but that FFG doesn't make the plan. Or as others say it isn't even the plan for a pack every month. And with the deluxe boxes again you likely won't need more than one as long as you both don't want to play the same decks.

I've been looking into this stuff and the biggest issue for two players out of one collection will be cards that can go in any deck. If you can both work around that it won't approach this:

2x [Core Set x3 + Dynasty Pack x12 + Deluxe Expansion x2]? Assuming full retail prices approximately $700 for two people for a year.

Likely it will be less than even the $350 being suggested for just one person even for the both of you.

People are also posting with the idea that FFG will also put out 12 monthly packs and 2 deluxe expansions a year. That is highly unlikely since they haven't pulled that off for any of their other LCGs.

FFG put out 15 packs and 3 boxes for AGoT2 in about 20 months. So, not quite 12 packs and 2 deluxes, but better than 8 and 1.

Sorry but I think it hasn't been put down simply.

Buy one box make two decks have fun. Or make four terrible decks, and still have fun.

If you want to enter a tournament, buy another box, or see about borrowing a couple cards. From someone who owns three or four copies.
