Han w/ Intensity Poe

By fogledj, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Was thinking of the following for when Intensity comes out:

Han Solo (old school)

-Adaptability (up)

-Gunner

-Hotshot Co-pilot

-Engine Upgrade

-Falcon Title (evade)

Poe Dameron (PS9)

-Intensity

-BB-8

-Autothrusters

-Black One Title

Vision: Han can boost and survive a bit at PS10 w/ EU, while stripping tokens off the target. PS9 Poe can shake target locks, arc dodge, and has a bit more punch if the target has had their focus tokens stripped.

Thoughts?

What's your points total?

If there is any way to get Pattern Analyzer or Primed Thrusters on Poe, I would do that.

This Poe build needs primed thrusters.

Maybe drop the title for it to fit?

Personally I think Intensity Poe has to have BB8 and primed thrusters and naturally B1 because of all the barrel rolls and boosts he will be doing. Honestly, I think dropping auto thrusters and replacing with integrated astromech is where I'd find the points.

This leaves you with 1 point, which could be spent on another ept for Han. Having both move at ps9 might be more advantageous.

What about dropping the Falcon Title to free a pt.? Worth it, or too dangerous?

Not sure. How often do you think you will be taking evade action? My guess is not very much. Maybe that's a place to find a point.

I have a similar build, but with different crew:

Menage a Han and Intense Poe

Han Solo (Original) (46pts)

  • Push the Limit (3pts)
  • Jan Ors (2 pts)
  • Rey (2pts)
  • Millennium Falcon (1pt)
  • Engine Upgrade (4pts)

Sub-total: 58pts

Poe Dameron (PS9) (33pts)

  • Intensity (2pts)
  • BB-8 (2pts)
  • Primed Thrusters (1pt)
  • Black One (1 pt)
  • Autothrusters (2pts)

Subtotal: 41pts

Squad total: 99pts

Original Han is already fairly accurate without gunner. Rey allows you to bank focus early. Bank as many as you can, and during later stages you can double evade (when facing multiple attacks) AND focus because of PTL. This version of Poe is SUPER hard to hit, especially if you stay within range three of Han, because you can pick up another evade from Jan Ors if you so choose. Han survives longer, wearing more targets down so Poe can swoop in with focus and targeting lock attacks.
