I usually win with this but I don't really think it is top tier. But it can be so much fun, slooping the falcon with no stress and then boosting is AMAZING!!

Poe Dameron — T-70 X-Wing, R2-D2, Sensor Cluster, Integrated Astromech, Black One, Ship Total: 38

Rey — YT-1300, Expertise, Finn, Kanan Jarrus, Engine Upgrade, Millennium Falcon (TFA), Ship Total: 62

I like it. You may as well throw a 0-point EPT on Poe: Adaptability, Trick Shot, A Score to Settle.

The Inquisitor (25)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
TIE/v1 (1)

Gamma Squadron Veteran (19)
Crack Shot (1)
Extra Munitions (2)
Homing Missiles (5)
Long-Range Scanners (0)

Gamma Squadron Veteran (19)
Deadeye (1)
Extra Munitions (2)
Homing Missiles (5)
Guidance Chips (0)

Black Squadron Pilot (14)

I had a really good time running variants of this in the VASSAL league. This is the one that fits together best.

Really nice lists all around guys and gals. Lots of those look like lots of fun. I feel the urge to play Talonbane... :)

I'm not playing much lately, but I've been using:

Deathfire (17)
Homing Missiles (5)

Extra Munitions (2)

Cluster Mines (4)

Long-Range Scanners (0)

Colonel Vessery (35)

TIE/D (0)

Ion Cannon (3)

Crack Shot (1)

Backdraft (27)

Fire Control System (2)

Special Ops Training (0)

A Score to Settle (0)

Lightweight Frame (2)

Pattern Analyzer (2)

Backdraft and Deathfire are pretty good at feeding Vessery his locks, after the initial engagement where hopefully an enemy ship is ionized, everyone's pretty good at re-engaging, Deathfire is low enough PS he can drop bombs very well, Vessery can do his 4k, and Backdraft has his auxiliary arc.

I brought it to a 60+ person tournament and got 9th (which won me 2 Regional dice) and recently won a small 6 person tournament with it, beating a really good player's Rauboats with it.

Cassian Andor (36)
Expert Handling
Advanced Sensors
Jan Ors
Jyn Erso
Pivot Wing

"Dutch" Vander (32)
Synced Turret
R5-P9
Vectored Thrusters

Garven Dreis (32)
R2-D2
Vectored Thrusters

So with this squad, you have the ability to token stack a good bit from Jyn and Jan, while Dutch shares target locks and Garven passes around a Focus to whomever needs it after him. Since you are running all at PS 6, you can make you own choices of maneuvering to prevent bumps and take shots to get the token passed whenever you decide to. Everyone has the option to barrel roll if needed for position. Cassian removing stress at the beginning of the Activation phase means you can be more aggressive with the X-Wing's or Y-Wing's dial if needed, otherwise its good tech against stress lists which can damage the token generation of this list. The X and Y of course have the classic rebel regen for longevity.

I don't use Adaptability because I want to keep them both at PS 8 so I can choose who to move first for the possibility of dropping a target lock on Rey using Black one Title. If I had A Score to Settle I would add it, but yea at the moment I probably could use the Trick Shot. I did just go 3-2 at a store championship, ended up 8th overall (Edit to add - 28 players total) with a tie for second highest SOS (my losses were a very close one to 5th overall in the first round then got blown out by 2nd overall (a friend from my usual FLGS that I have never beaten in any tournament) in the fifth round) but none of my wins were even close.

4 tie advanced wit AC and a naked Tie prototype...

Oh, what the heck. One more.

I took four TIE Phantoms to a tournament to troll a bit. Thing is, it kinda works but not as cloaking madness. This is playing a different mind game. This game says, "yeah, I might die first round of fire... But so might you."

Four TIE Phantoms in tight boxed formation jousting the odd meta lists which like to lead with one ship... Yeah. Come at me. I play fear factor. Ventress? Sure, one auto evade is cute. Rey? Enjoy your rerolls while they last. Fenn Rau? Let's see you get to range one of them all.

Stupid four ship Rebels...

TIER 9001

Poe Dameron (PS9) (33)
Push the Limit (3)
BB-8 (2)

Chewbacca (42)
Elusiveness (2)
Cluster Missiles (4)
Kanan Jarrus (3)
Nien Nunb (1)
EMP Device (2)
Smuggling Compartment (0)
Anti-Pursuit Lasers (2)
Millennium Falcon (1)

Fun to play, though...

Four T-65s, for the same reasons and with the same strategies as LagJanson above me. :)

Other builds I really like:

  • Vader + 4-5 TIE Fighter miniswarm (I totally <3 this one, but it is a little more difficult to fly well consistently)
  • Triple ARC-170s
  • Double VCX-100
