Hi all,

I've got a store championships coming up, and it seems that every man and his dog is bringing Rebel MSU + piles'o'squadrons to the party. So I have decided to be as different as I can possibly get.

The idea is to play to objectives, using the Grav Shift to move obstacles into more advantageous positions and force the enemy fleets into range of the hideous firepower that the ISDs can pump out, while using the Interdictor to help tank incoming damage. My main concerns are that I will almost always be loosing the activation war, and I've no real defense against swarms of bombers other than to tank it.

I look at this and get the idea of going with Tractor Beams on the ISDs and the G-8 Projector on the Interdictor. You might be able to get shots on speed zero ships negating the need for mitigating defense tokens.

Behind on deployments the G-7x might be better than the targeting scrambler giving you a bit of say in the matter. If you the list can get stuff down to speed zero you wouldn't need the X17 and could maybe bump up to ISD-II because behind on deployments and with the speed shenanigans you'll likely need to chase a bit. And then the fleet seems a good place for Konstantine or Jerry.

But you do need to get in the face of stuff so the ISD-I is a good choice. My head went here:

It could be very fun. But you need to have squadrons. I did a no squadron list and I really wanted some squadrons. No one didn't bring squadrons.

You can't reduce the speed of a ship to zero with tractor beams or G-8, sadly.

Ahhh, it is only a temporary one with G-8. My bad. So you can't bypass their defense tokens that way.

I actually think that blockade run might be a good idea. You get to place all of the obstacles, and they are flying face first into 2 ISDs with reduced room to maneuver.
