I'm not super savvy with web-sharing thingies. If you do a google image search for "Y-Wing Trench" it's among the top hits and shows a pair of Y-Wings flying down the Death Star trench.

Actually, no (I find the ship a freaking abomination). But sure, i can change it for Y-Wing and TIE only. ;)

Yes, absolutely, like the range effect of Lone Wolf.

And add : "you may reroll any of your results against ennemy ships at range 1-2", to promote others turrets than TLTs.

TO be fair the U-wing was the Rouge One Expansion. For me I would want a Battle for Yavin as the Wave 1 re-patch for X-wings, Y-wings, TIE Fighters, and even a little love for the TIE Advanced since you don't see to many of those around now that TIE Defender are ascendant (and properly so).

So lets go on to my issues with your expansion proposal.

  • For the pilots a lot of overlapped abilities. Such as Fearlessness as a pilot ability or R2-astromech as an ability. Not terrible but can easily get redundant. Also it isn't as much of a game changer for in terms of the meta. Otherwise you would see more Fearlessness and R2 astromech.
  • Y-wings, I don't think every Y-wing needs an EPT. To be honest thanks to TLT and the droid upgrades Y-wings have been doing goo. Give the gold squadron Veterans the EPT and leave it at that. Also for Pops and to follow up on the first point, he doesn't need "Stay on Target" as an ability. You could give him sort of an autothruster ability instead.
  • X-wing title fix, first of all I think a single non unique title as a fix has been a crutch FFG has depended on too much and it shows (G4H even has a non-title title). To be honest I don't think a simple title would work, Instead I am up for a unique title suite of say Red Leader to Red 2 through 5. Same for Gold squadron. The unique titles have special abilities like Red 5 could have rerolls for torpedo weapons since that was how Luke destroyed the Death Star. As for the Leader title they should have some synergy sharing to make a squadron stronger the more of that ship type there is. Might even make some interesting formations for Epic. Anyways enough about that. A single one title to fix all is lazy design and always brings the risk of over-correcting (case and point x7 title).
  • Redo Heroic sacrifice, I see what you are trying to do but that seems so vague and loose that it needs to be tighten up. Simplify it a little so that it doesn't require a full page of FAQ to explain how it works. Remember K.I.S.S. Keep Is Stupendously Simple, maybe after adding 2 <crits> you suffer 2 <crits> or even deal 2 face up damage to yourself.
  • Get rid of Veteran co-pilot or find a way to limit it to a specific phase. We got the Veteran instinct, we don't need a veteran instinct for every upgrade slot. To be honest increase pilot skill by 2 in the activation phase is more than enough. Activation phase is + 2 (plus any other upgrades) so arc dodging and target locks are now a thing, but still shoot at regular pilot skill (+ any other upgrades).
  • For the rest of the upgrades just need to re-cost them or re-do them as they don't seem future proof enough. Some are either going to be extremely broken later on down the line, others are just going to be worthless and will never see play on the competitive table.

That about sums it up, I don't think this is at the standards of FFG X-wing but after the blatant power creep that is G4H and Wave 8 and up. That standard is getting hard to pin down.
