Rebel Attempt

By ImperialOfficer, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

So I ran this list last night and had a lot of fun with it. I'm not one that thinks Rebels are dead in the current meta.

I didn't get to play it against a meta list though, so I'm curious how it would do in a SC type atmosphere.

Anyone had any luck with this style of list?

3▪ Gideon Argus
3▪ R2-D2
3▪ C1-10P
2▪ C-3PO
12Elite Alliance Ranger
8Elite Echo Base Trooper
7Elite Rebel Saboteur
1Targeting Computer
1▪ Balance of the Force

thanks,

I've really had a tough time keeping the sabs alive lately, so either I'm overextending or really rolling poorly. I think R2 and balance of the force could be subbed for Hera and you'd be better off unless you really think there's a command card that's worth her abilities. Keep the Sabs and Hera behind the other echos and they can be your meat shield. I like Rebel High command more than R2, just because you already have 6 deployments I don't know that he adds that much especially since you're going to focus everyone ahead of time anyway.

What's your command card deck?

I try not to rush the sabs unless the time is right. It can backfire with all of the smuggler cards, but is fun. The targeting computer helps them out.

2Tools for the Job
2Call the Vanguard

I changed Price on their heads to Strength in Numbers.

I'd play negation and heart of freedom. It's really versatile and you don't have to get all parts off to make it worth.

ERangers and sabs both want to be focused and the ebt wouldn't mind either. For me it's been difficult to play such a focus hungry list because I'm never sure who to focus up first round

The hardest part of a Rebel list is the Command deck. Scum is easy because almost every single thing is a hunter/smuggler/brawler. Rebels have everything under the sun - it's hard to find command cards to fit more than 1/4 of your army.

Rebel decks can be hard, but balance of the force really helps out on that front. Those extra points allow you to grab the best cards for multiple traits.

I always like the idea of adding Hera. She's awesome, and probably helps more than having R2 and Chopper hovering over the same terminal. Smuggler/Leader is a solid combo that gives her access to some good cards.

incorrect.

I should mention that tools for the job is a Smuggler only command card,

you shouldn't mention that as you are incorrect, it is Hunter / Smuggler so the the Rangers can use it.

Have found R2's command card very useful recently in upping my own card draw and hurting my opponents, can cause a good momentum shift, it's worth considering, I would drop chopper before R2 but that's personal preference.

R2's card would be interesting. 1 pt would be auto add I think.

I'll tinker around and see if it can fit. Thanks for the information.

I played three games last night against scum, going to summarize them and see if there is area for improvement.

Right you are. I must have been drinking yesterday. I use that with the rangers also.
