If norell watched JJ this would be going SO perfectly

I'm also certain I know who are the Scum are at this point. To led some weight I'm going to out myself. It means I am likely to die tonight, but I think it might push us to victory. I am First Mate Stu Backatcha. I intend to protect my fellow loyal crewmen by any means necessary, even if it means tearing off a few arms, legs…or other dangly bits! At night I may ##protect someone. (Mafia Role: Doctor)

I played the crazy role intentionally I to get someone suspicious of me, hoping to get some to vocally suspect me while also making the Mafia think I was a generic townie. That person ended up being JJ. I figured the Mafia might kill JJ to cast me as the villian. After all, JJ voted for me and suspected Biggs and I were working together. As such, my initial plan was to protect JJ. When Norell outed himself as the cop, I switched my protection to him. Nobody came after him. What reason would there be for going after JJ over Norell? Simple Norell is indeed Scum and the Mafia wants me to look suspicious. After all, we know JJ is a type of cop. It seems suspicious that there would be both a full cop and a flavor cop. Notice that Biggs, a known traitor, did not finish Norell off when he had a chance.

Now we have Oni coming hard at me right out of the gate on the very pretense I expected. I think we have two Scum left. For now though, I'm 90% certain of Norell

Also: @CaribbeanNinja , you were hammer vote, before Biggs claimed. Any comments?

We've got half our Hyperdrive and a really sticky collection of Toydarian porn. Life is good.

As far as other traitors, we should really be focusing on @Onidsen and @Truthiness .

These were the only folks who didn't vote for lynching Artie-Two D*cks (Biggs).

We can see what Whorgana ( @Norell ) says about who she watched.

R.I.P. Rando.

Man you're vindictive, why'd you rip him into pieces?

Still and all, you didn't answer my question, but smoothly evaded focus onto two others. So: why didn't you wait for a claim?

Honestly because I new we had like five minutes left and I was at a red light. That is all I could type. I knew we couldn't wait.

I missed Norell was part of the hammer somehow. I'll easily switch my vote to Oni if the town is more convinced of him as I'm about 80% on him.

Not sure if you're serious about this. (R.I.P is Rest in Peace.)

Ok, after a re-read, I'm even more convinced of Oni. I'm still very suspicious of Norell, but seeing he was in the hammer makes him less suspicious than Oni.

:D

'Twas a pun. Both because R.I.P. is often taken as Rest In Pieces, and because R.I.P. can be read as the verb 'rip', so 'rip Rando, and may he R.I.P.'

On a slightly more serious note, Rando shot our beloved captain in the back. He deserves to R.I.P. rather than R.I.P., and anyone wishing the latter rather than the former on him is either 1) His pal, 2) Too kind-heartened to be a Smuggler.

Anyways, I figured it was the time constraint, but wanted to double-check, since as we saw last game, the scum can hammer their pal so as to appear trustworthy.

Wait I'm confused. Are you saying JJ was a traitor?

Nope. Sorry. I thought you were referring to Artie. . . should've gone back and checked the names before hitting post. I just did, and realized my mistake. . .

Ignore my previous posts.

R.I.P. Rando.

R.I.P. Artie. No mercy for him. Truthiness, did you rip Artie?

What? I wrote a giant post that no one has responded to. Go read that.

Sorry. I'm both in a state of mourning for Rando, a state of euphoria for Artie, and a state of shame for confusing the two. To handle the conflicting emotions/thoughts that are going through my head, I am lashing out with jokes so cheesy they make your blood curdle.

Concerning my post, I was referencing your line ' I intend to protect my fellow loyal crewmen by any means necessary, even if it means tearing off a few arms, legs…' and the pun I had made before concerning R.I.P. . . not very funny I know, but meh, maybe somebody snorted in exasperation and had a slight uplift in mood. That'd have made it worth it.

Oh hey, look at that. Thought they were the same thing. Watcher is significantly weaker, which would make having 3 power roles make sense. I'm utterly convinced of Oni then. He did exactly what I expected of Scum if someone ganked JJ overnight.

I'm also certain I know who are the Scum are at this point. To led some weight I'm going to out myself. It means I am likely to die tonight, but I think it might push us to victory. So, because Norell didn't die, he's a scum, but then because he helped lynch Biggs, Onidsen's a scum? You just invalidated this entire post by changing your vote.

Also, maybe they went after JJ 'cause they assumed the doc would protect Norell? That's what I'd've* thought. And just to add a slight bit of paranoia/suspicion, killing the dude who voted for you, because it's a common scum way to cast blame in other places, would be a very easy double-bluff to pull if you were scum, since everybody would assume the scum did it to frame you.

*Read it and weep, English speakers, I just broke grammar, but it makes sense! :)

Definitely. Cops scan alignment - they tell you straight up if someone's evil. Watchers just scan targets - who you visited last night. Some variants scan actions (what you did, but not who you did it to). So far in this series of games, all of our watchers have scanned targets or people who targeted you. The wiki says that a flavor cop returns an item related to the flavor of the role of the person you scanned.

So - count me as one who has no idea what flavor cop does in real game terms.

@Truthiness That's an interesting claim. Also very interesting that you made the claim without the pressure of a vote on you. Of course, if you're expecting to end the game tonight, that's a reasonable thing to do. Or if you're trying to head off a bandwagon on you before it gets started, because you don't want the game to end tonight.

No, you've solidified my suspicions of you. In fact, I bet the scumkill went on someone other than Norell just so that you could claim that you protected them.

I refer you to my above post, but'd like to add that I am officially putting you on 'previous game ovinomanc3r notice': if Onidsen is a goodie, your neck's next on my chopping block list.

So folks? Do we vote Norell, as the untouched power-role, Truthiness as the 'suspiciously-claimed-whilst-under-no-pressure-then-changed-his-vote' dude, or Onidsen as the guy who was too high on Bigg's list?

@CaribbeanNinja ?
@ovinomanc3r ?

I think the proper vote right now is Onidsen.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I have nothing further to add. I'm now utterly convinced of my theory. If I die by hanging today, it will prove I am who I am and out you as Scum. Norell, I sincerely apologise for my mistake with the roles. On re-read I think you are indeed innocent. I will protect you again tonight. If you are still unconvinced, I recommend you watch my actions tonight. If you die, you know I'm lying. If I do anything but go to you, then you know I'm lying.

Another thought. Biggs with his lists was certainly trying to influence our actions. Now, if you're scum, the one thing you don't want to do is draw attention to your partner by placing them high on your trust list. You also don't want to attack the strongly, because if the village follows it, then you've lost your partner. What you want to do is express mild suspicion or mild trust. Generally mild suspicion, just so they have plausible deniability if you go down. If you know you're on the chopping block, then express your extreme distrust of them, which will further clear them in the village's eyes.

Which is one of the reasons I suspect Truthiness. Biggs and he were careful to position themselves separately.

The votes should be for me or Onisden and no one else. We have the Scum in a perfect box with either of our deaths in my mind. Please bring the hammer on one of us. I'm happy with either.
