Hi all , first sorry if this is in the wrong topic , recently I started a game with my friends who proceeded to quit because I revealed a decimator with vader inside . I was angry as I never use him . And they don't even try to think of ways round him . They refuse to let me use him , I would personally be more score of whisper who accompanies him ! Am I wrong or are they ? I find it so easy to stop the deci with him in ! Ps9 with VI And shoot him first is one ?

Any advice would be great !

There's no rules question here; it's absolutely unquestionable that you can use Vader in a decimator. It's not even all that high level competitive, because you kill yourself to use him. But if your opponent routinely plays low hull no shield aces, it can feel mean.

Tell your friend he's a poor sport for refusing a legitimate combo, then play decivader against him.

Wat? Refused to play because of vader crew?

Vader crew has to be one of the tamest cards while still being on the strong side. If they refuse to play against him WOW theres a lot of stuff they must refuse to play then

Vader Crew: Cause target you shot at to suffer one critical damage (this is NOT an automatic, face-up damage card that goes through shields although some seem to think it is!) and in exchange his ship suffers two damage.

Now I'm sure if your opponent tried to play high agility, glass cannon, arc dodgers he's going to HATE that combo of a PWT (there goes arc dodging) and Vader (who doesn't care about target's Defense and if it dies easily to damage cards oh well,) but that's HIS problem and not yours.

Don't play against jerks would be my advice.

The solution to this is:

- Hand the list over to them so they can fly it

- Pop out 4 x Y-Wings with TLT

Now they get to complain about something else

Get them to sign a declaration of your superiority in the game in exchange for a promise that you will no longer play the Decimator against them. If they happen to start winning remind them that it is only because they are afraid to play you on your own terms.

Something more like:

"We the undersigned hereby acknowledge your superior skills in all aspects of X-Wing. While we may quiver in fear 1 at the Decimator at all use we will accept that we are inferior to you as a whole just so you will stop using that ship. If we happen to win a game we realize that it is only by your pleasure or because the dice gods have chosen to throw us a bone. ..."

1. "quiver in fear" is just a placeholder and more descriptive, and perhaps demeaning, terms could be used.
