I've been flying 2 lists lately, both pretty successfully and can't decide which one to take to our store tournament in 2 weeks. Hoping to try and get a few more games in before then but was wondering which you guys think is the better list

Whisper - VI, rebel captive, acd, fcs

Kath Scarlet - slave 1, long range scanner, a score to settle, mangler cannon, tactician

Tie academy

This list has a 98 pt initiative bid and can deal multiple stress per turn, normally 1-2 per round. Has a chance to deal damage and stress with Kath. Academy pilot i just fly in to block and try to absorb shots. This list is easy to fly and normally leaves whisper late game.

2nd list

Biggs - r2-f2, stealth device (there's an alt build that i want to try that takes sd off)

Thane - r2-d6, swarm leader, jyn(or Finn and take sd off biggs), vectored thrusters, alliance overhaul

Ahsoka Tie fighter - sabines masterpiece, VI, Rey

Captain Rex

This list is a protect Biggs so Biggs can protect us list, so i can safely get swarm leader off without worrying about my tie fighters getting taken down. Stock up a few focus tokens with rey, use R2-f2 with biggs, give Biggs a focus with Ahsoka, all the while Thane is getting 3-4 actions normally and can jyn to give biggs more focus to protect him. Im debating adding Finn and taking off SD on biggs because swarm leader isn't as likely to pull off after initial volley and turning ships around. Finn seems more useful and would help out the back of the arc-170.

I know this build with Biggs is a lil unorthodox but 4-5 defence dice and focuses with Biggs and he can b hard to take down. Some lists will be hard to go against and low PS lists will also hurt Thanes action economy.

Let me know what you guys think. Ive had fun flying both lists and they've both done well. Im there to have fun but going 3-1 or 4-0 would be nice lol

I love Stress Kath but she needs Rebel Captive on her. She'll be targeted first and will go down easily if not. Whisper can get out of situations easier, I would do Kallus on Whisper and Rebel Captive on Kath.

Why an Academy Pilot instead of Wampa? No matter what the init choice is, Whisper is happy (either gets to arc dodge or cloak). And his ability can make him target #1 for lists with low hull ships (aka, Phantoms & E wings).

Sorry for late response. I chose to have initiative bid because around here you see a decent amount of ps9, 360 arcs and tlt. Id rather get adc up. Unless there's something im missing with that line of thinking? And i chose rebel captive for the reason you stated, whisper can b target #1. Make it less appealing to shoot whisper. i think with kaths ability and having tactician makes her a threat not to ignore and will keep whisper from being ganked.

Tbetts94 - i love kallus on whisper and may just throw that on again. Just not sure about rc on kath because i want them to target kath over whisper and just keep doing damage/stress before she goes out.

That being said im becoming fond of my 2nd list. Its odd and didn't think itd work but it has. I haven't gotten a game against a scum list or a lot of big ships but it has beaten some good players/lists. Even games where i didn't really get swarm leader or finn off it still won. SC worthy? Prob not. But I'm liking it so far

What if you put flachette cannon on Kath instead? Triple stress!

No, he's primary weapon, and has to be in an arc.

Yea i hadn't really either lol. I had primary arc in my head as well but it is firing arc. Makes Finn a good fit on thane imo as long as your opponent shoots another ship you have a tl + focus finn shot

Low damage but thatd b crazy lol. Would that work? Flachette works if the attack hits and gives a stress if the defender is not stressed, while Kaths ability works if they cancel a crit result. I think that ability would trigger and give a stress before flachette.
