Expansions seem to be doing fine?

By Willange, in Runewars Miniatures Game

Looking at the Runewars products page, you can see that all the expansions are now 'out of stock' except for the Oathsworn Cavalry. I think this is good news, right?

Definitely good news. It would be cool if we knew how many units were sold, but regardless of that number, it seems FFG sold out of all the product they planned to sell on their web page.

I hope local stores are seeing similar success with the game.

Out of stock already?

Either theres a lot of people enjoying the game that doesnt talk or they didnt print much. That was quick as hell....

My FLGS only has 2 human cores and 1 undead archer left. No idea where the cavalry went since i bought 1 and...nobody else plays Daqan far as i know lol

I'm sure there are distributors that still have stock to move around. I wonder if FFG reserved few units for themselves in order to create the appearance of scarcity.

By the way, does the stock on the web page reflect the stock in the FFG headquarters retail store? I've always wondered that.

Well if they're going that fast, then I'll definitely be preordering my Uthuk expansions to make sure I don't get left in the dust. It would be heart-wrenching to wait this long and then have them get sold out.

I've always wondered the same thing. My guess is that it does, but I have no idea.

I know lots of places still have them in stock. All their online page really tells us for sure is the online availability from them. Distributors I'm sure are another story and last I checked my LGS still had some of each expansion, but that may have changed as well.

I bought my second core finally, last one my store had. They had one of each expansion still, but it was there second wave already.

This could also be part of their shift to Alliance as the distributor.

The store I go to has at least 3 of each expansion, hoping they sell quickly so the store continues to invest in the game and more people get interested.

Well, my FLGS sold out completely of the expansions on the first day forcing me to get mine off mini mart. These really don't mean much though since we have no idea what sizes the print runs are.

Saturday evening they had a bunch of both command packs, and a handful of archers and cavalry on the shelves.

No, their retail store is like any other game store. It is owned by them, but run independently based on what I can tell. I know there are people here that are more familiar with the game center than I am.

This is more likely it. You won't be able to order direct from FFG any more.

Not sure about sales, but I think it's a good sign that the painting thread finally outnumbers the rules questions thread...

Part of that being theres no FAQ or new rules to argue over yet lol.

Most of this game is either very straightforward once you piece together all the rules from pg3, 5, and 12 to figure out how this one scenario works (that is rather annoying i'll be honest having to constantly change pages to check a reference) or messed up to the point where we can only give a personal reasoning for the rule working/not working and it really needs a FAQ to be official (kari's surge...)

And i love looking at the painting section. Cant wait for the other races to pop up so we get even more stuff in there.
