Which warrior class should I be?

My group will be starting a new campaign in rtl in a few days, and I can't decide which class to be! I know for a fact I want to use H&M Nanok but I am not sure if I will be most effective as the knight, champion, or beastmaster. Thoughts or advice?

For reference we have one player who will be a Bard (don't know which character) another as Jain Fairwood/Wildlander and lastly Quellen/Runemaster.

I'd say it depends on two main criteria:

1) How experienced is your group with the game?

The beastmaster will bring up the most rule questions (familiar and all that). The champion will bring up some, and the knight is mostly straightforward (as long as you know how advance and oath work).

2) How competitive is your group?

If you're just having a good time, I think the champion is the most fun to play of the bunch. There is a good amount of strategy involved in getting valor tokens, and they can be used in moderately interesting ways. Also, Nanok has poor willpower, and the champion can help there.

Knight is the most solidly powerful class of the 3, you really can't go wrong with it unless you're choosing it every single campaign.

In short:

Beastmaster: Not the most synergy with Nanok (except Feral Frenzy and heroic feat, o my) . Worth picking if you think you'll enjoy it.

Champion: Supplement poor willpower, make Nanok a team player. Plus, you can use valor for a defense bump in lieu of armor or just to hit harder.

Knight: It's a straightforward base class which is a solid pick for almost any warrior, and is probably the one which will make Nanok most powerful overall.

I would say we are all pretty competitive, and even though we try not to we always end up min/maxing lol. As far as experience, we have only played a few single quests and this will be our first campaign. However, we all have a solid background in tabletop overall and we all pick up on rules very quickly.

Sounds like I should be going knight with Nanok...thanks for the tips!

While I find the knight to be a not-very-exciting class, I second it. Especially in RTL, because oath of honor can be a godsend when monsters inevitably clump together. And that the knight has a generous dose of cheap/free actions.

I *really* like the Beastmaster, but the wolf will generally be the first to die during monster activations. Though the extra attack (if the wolf lives more than one round of course) and ability to screw big monster movement is a plus.
