Stress (and blocking) shuts down tricks and toys, so I'm trying to mitigate as much as possible. I believe the Lambda-class pilot, Captain Yorr, draws stress to himself...
Running 2 TIEs/f, and want to make good use of 1 and 3 hard turns for positioning, so they're supported by Yorr, equipped with Electronic Baffle, Inspiring Recruit, Tractor Beam, and Rebel Captive. The plan is to use Baffle/Recruit to shed the stress Yorr receives, and PS 4 Tractor shenanigans moves people onto rocks or out of position, open thing up a bit for the s/f to make good use of their 1 hard turns.
The other ships are:
"Quickdraw" w/ SpecOps Title, Fire Control System, Targeting Synch, Lightweight Frame, and Adaptability (+1), or should I take A Score to Settle? and...
"Backdraft" w/ Vet Instincts, SpecOps Title, Fire Control System, Targeting Synch, and Lightweight Frame.
Previously, QD was Expose, Fire Control, Targeting Synch, Shield Upgrade, accompanied by "Zeta Leader", w/ Vet Instincts, Comm Relay, and Shield Upgrade, and "Omega Ace" with same. That list hit like a wall of trucks full of bricks, especially at range 1, but stress on "Zeta" is tough to shed quickly. Also, I chose the wrong target early on, should've gone for HWK doing his PS 12 bs and passing it to regen ARC equipped with Swarm Tactics...duh. I'm going back to that list, but BD is 28 points with Title and VI, same as "Omega Ace" fully kitted.
For fun, I ran 5 Binyare Pirates w/ Feedback Array and Shield Upgrade, took target locks turn 1, then focused for the remainder of the game; a three-way match; and accounted for all but one hull on a T-70, one on a T-65, and smoked a U-Wing, so that was fun, and worrisome for my opponents because the extra shields proved their usefulness. Thus the SU on "Zeta" and "Omega".
The only thing I don't like about using the Lambda is its dial. Yuck!
Can I get some constructive criticism and advice?
Edit: 3 Zeta s/f and Yorr come in at 93 points. What...other than SpecOps Titles...would you take for upgrades?
