yeah, horribly imbalanced the way it is. i believe the imperial gets to choose, he could choose to distribute randomly.

I just checked, the rule says distribute them randomly, so the imperial player cannot know which terminals are the yellow ones.

your right i was doing it from memory, it says randomly.

So, another game day, two of us have recently become fathers so we don't have that much time anymore.

We played Means of production and the first thing I did was bring in Royal guards. After the first rebel activation had fluffed two attacks (to low accuracy and only three damage that was blocked) I placed the RG in front of the cramped rebels stunning two of them. This is where one of the two rebel players wanted to give up.

Being so trapped between my guards and the difficult terrain he couldn't phantom they would ever make it through the door. End of round two Diala was wounded and the rest was still behind. So no round three. Had they gotten the first door open I would have given them some saboteurs inside the base to get things going but we had time for another mission instead.

Next was another side mission and not the story mission, I thank you all for the tips on it, will remember it for the next time.

We played Temptation and here boy did the rebels kill me. I had to allow myself additional threat and Vader to be allowed 1 move and 1 attack (no brutality) to get it a bit even but it was a win for the rebels no doubt and felt thematic for Diala to have her lightsaber.

Both missions felt one sided but maybe that's just how we played them. To bad one of my players isn't really enjoying the game so much. I have tried to be the game master but don't want to skip on rewards like Imperial Industry or RGC but neither wanted to deny them the lightsaber.

It’s too bad you and your group aren’t enjoying the game. IMO, Means of Production is VERY tough for Rebels to win. Also the reward for the imperials can really tilt things in the IP player if the attachment with stun is abused.

I hope you stick with it, it can be a really fun experience when everything clicks.

Means of Production was kind of a cake walk for my Rebels. I wasn’t too hard on them as far as the token options I put on the doors, but I don’t think I could have stopped no matter what I’d picked.

Oh, only one the other players isn't enjoying it, me and the third player like it. The mechanics of the game is a great break from 9th age (spiritual successor of Warhammer fantasy). And I love Star Wars!

Will remember that about stun and try not to over use it. Felt like i med it with the rebels having 2 more xp than me so far.

I was also going to go easy on the door tokens but the area to the first door was so filled with units, initial stormies and droid and I brought RG and Hired guns, so when the first round was so bad on the rebels the they couldn't move past them so it never came to that.

What was the threat level when you played it? That sounds like a ton of threat to deploy. Did they bring an ally?

My rebels chose not to play Means of Production, instead playing (and winning) Temptation. I think that was a solid choice, but we've "forked" the campaign and they will go back and try the mission with the XP and kit they had at that moment, just to see if they can do it.

Played at threat 4 and I got a bit carried away when writing. With twice the threat at the start I got the RG and first at the end of round 1 I got the hired guns. The rebels had not got anything of the board since my probe on 1 wound left healed (technical support I think the xp card is called) my wounded RG.

means of production was close at three threat and came down to the last turn with the last activation. it was during hoth so i really won that one(Threat in RtEB[Return to Echo Base]). our next mission is RtEB, one bane no boon. Diala, Loku(no comment from union please), Talos, and Gaarkan. on means of production I didn't do a good job on doors and i didn't use an agenda card. depending on group status, three threat was good for that mission.
