Corellian Campaign and Leia

By dominosfleet, in Star Wars: Armada

So, I don't really mind that you can't use tokens in general with Leia, doesn't seem like there will be A LOT of situations where you'll be banking the tokens you would get since you get the token effect anyway. BUT, the entire point of vet ships in the campaign is to get bonus tokens to use during the phases, seems like she'll lose a lot from that.

Thoughts?

Just elect not to use her affect on the turn you need to use your veteran token?

You could, but then you're missing out on what your admiral does

Think of it the other way.

The Power Of Positivity!

Your ships are ALWAYS VETERAN, ALL THE TIME, EVERY TURN, when you're using Leia.

Even when they're Not, they are.

:D

Garm and Tarkin can also have issues with veteran tokens.. just a facet of a token based commander.

So what? There are times when it is better to go without your admiral for a particular reason. Passing on Ackbar to get more total dice via double-arc, for example. There will be times when your need for a second command is more important than using Leia, and that's what you'll have the veteran token for.

Well... Rieekan are not as strong either since you are not as keen on sacrificing ships and aces. Different ways to play the game means different abilities will be stronger and weaker than others.

Leia don't have to use her ability all the time, sometimes you want to use several commands at the same time. But yes, Leia are not as strong. Tarkin are perhaps slightly less strong but his ability are a bit more dynamic so not affected as strongly as Leia.

just fill your officer slots with liasons

Yes... good idea... I always do that with Tarkin in command.
