By Darknight4, in Anima: The Card Game

hi all, well its been about a year since i was on this part of the forum, life, kids and a house move meant this and a lot of other games were all in boxes, till a couple of nights ago when i found this again, forgot all about it..
soooo a few questions...
1. i had a mission to escort the empress to archangel from the temple of shadows, i get the temple card and move straight there via a lucky plot card, now on the mission it says i need speed 12, on the temple card it has on winning the mission, sooo question is, can i choose to take a speed 12 check or do an exploration to win the mission to take the empress? and on getting her, is it better as it says all area im in with her are level 3, to just wait there until i find the right area (archangel)

2. i know now there is a reprinted shadow of omega, but if the only thing is different borders and slightly different rules sheet do i need it? i have the new downloaded rule sheet, and when i get used to the game i will get the expansion.
its funny how they have gone to white border like the change from call of cthulhu, black to white ?

also posted this on the other forum, but it seems sooooooo quiet..

!!!!!! well the other forum is quiet but this is just ...well.....dead!! does anyone still come here? play the game? anyone?

The way i see it, when you enter the Temple you need to go through a speed check. You don't have to explore. Then you go to Archangel either by exporing it (if nobody had explored it before) or by using an advantage card Zeppelin.

1 - In order to get the Speed Check, you first must explore the place (making the mission is the alternative to getting the advantage cards, in fact, being listed among the rewards). After you've gotten the Empress, the problem is that you must find Archangel and just waiting it comes around means that the other players might get a big time advantage, so you should do anything in your power to get Archangel. ONCE YOU HAVE REACHED ARCHANGEL, you HAVE to explore it and as a reward (instead of getting advantage cards) you leave the empress at the palace, thus completing your mission. The good side of everything is that since all lands are considered 3rd level, you always get 3 advantage cards after you explore them!

2 - As for the reprint of Shadow of Omega, if you already have it I'd say pass. The only thing you'll be missing are the Crisis conditions for the final missions which were added in the reprint. But sincerely, if you're buying the other expansion (Beyond Good and Evil) you won't even use the final missions from Shadow of Omega...so you won't bother about that too much. Everything IMHO.

PS - It's not like the forum's dead...but the fact that FFG hasn't printed the second expansion box (El Ocaso De Los Dioses = The Twilight of The Gods) is a bit unnerving and has somehow stalled the interest of the community for the game. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like FFG is planning to release it in english yet, which is very disappointing for passionate players like my friends and me. I already have mixed Italian/English cards, since Beyond Good And Evil was not released in our lunguage...I'd rather not buy Spanish cards too...

Seems like our prayers were answered and Twilight of The Gods is finally upon us! Can't wait to know more about it...what I've seen so far seems very interesting, with enemies like the big Storm Aeon (can't remember the exact name) and the omnipotent Summoner Orb as enemies! Also it seems we'll have more artifacts to equip our parties...which is cake.

I wouldnt mind using spanish cards since i can read them... I cant wait for this set... i enjoyed both set 1 and 2, and set 3 almost makes we wonder if the Anima Intellectual Property will continue to grow... They mentioned this set would be the conclusion to the events of set 1 and 2. but will they make a set 4 starting a new ark?
