Preview Schedule...?

By Bayushi Tsubaki, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

With the Lion fiction getting bumped back a week, does this mean that the Lion preview stuff will be crammed in before next Wednesday, or does it mean the entire preview schedule is going to be bumped a week?

On FFG's Facebook page, they confirmed that everything is now "bumped" to a week later, at least for now.

I missed that post. Thanks :)

Yea, hopefully they accelerate a bit somewhere a tad bit closer to Gencon. I'd love to see every clan previewed before the Core Set is in my hands on Thursday August 17th.

You think you can pass that set my way? ;)

"Tell me Mr. Cincinnati, how can you hold your core set if you .....have no hands?"

i'm guessing that, based on this being caused by a fiction delay, whats going on is them not wanting to say that they're gonna do a fiction + cards release until they're sure they've got all the rest of the fictions and they can do it without screwing up the rest of the schedule.

my guess is one, if not two, of the last clans will get doubled up.

I was thinking that maybe they will hold the Crab clan back to release at Gen Con since that would be the best clan to use when spoiling all the Shadowlands cards in the core set. ;)

Eek! bite your tounge:angry:

Well, in the original version of the story, the Crab didn't start "using" the Shadowlands until after the Scorpion Clan Coup ended. This time, who knows? Maybe they'll never make that terrible (and honestly incredibly foolish) choice this time. I figure they will at least in some manner, but it may be years before we get to that point, in any case.

Depends on Kisada, if he thinks the Emperor is a limp-wristed feeb like last time, there is a possibility of repeat.

However, if memory serves, the shadowlands were relatively quiet at Story Point Zero.

This time they're talking about a giant attack. Which bodes well for something different.

I'd be in favor of a storyline that opens with none of the clans outright turning against their core roles as servants of the Emperor. But that's me!

Take it as a compliment.....haven't you ever heard the phrase "save the best for last"? It just means FFG has acknowledged what we all secretly knew......... That /mumblesunderbreathsocrabcanthear

Shadowlands are the best and.....

/resumesnormalvoice

Crab should be honored to be previewed last.

We were once the clan that entered the fray last...

My guess is since Crane and Lion were the first strongholds reveled and Dragon and Phoenix showed up in the conflict example, then Dragon and Phoenix will be the next clans shown (though not necessarily in that order).

After that it would be they're choice of Crab, Scorpion and Unicorn.

I feel scorpion will be next. Honor clan first, then military clan, finally dishonor clan. Or left hand, right hand, underhand.

That is what I'm guessing. We'll see the Emperor's response to the champions death, how the scorpion are playing things, then see what clan they are struggling with. That will be our 4th preview clan.

In that event id guess Scopion, Unicorn, Dragon , Phoenix ......then Crab,,,,,crap.

I'm in favor of Scorpion last, to kick the Coup into motion.
