Auzituck looks a lot like a LAAT, so...

By beowolf777, in X-Wing

Just a thought to throw out there. The Auzituck looks a lot like a LAAT. We saw Yoda on a LAAT in the clone war. Yoda spends time on Kashyyyk. Auzituck has a double crew slot. Are we going to see a Yoda double crew card soon?

Think about it and talk amongst yourselves.

A battle yoda is too prequel, we don't talk about prequels. Been thinking about this and there is no logical reason for a yoda crew to be 2 slots. Jabba is physically big enough, the emperor is assumed to have entourage, yoda never leaves Degobah outside prequels and clone wars and FFG has kiboshed most pre episode 4 content. I think Obi-wan is the best hope for rebel crew. Absolutely inexcuseable he already isn't in game. Should have been in the first 3 waves.

Oh I know all about the prequel hate, but I thought the ship looked so similar and that is what came to mind.

Thanks for playing!

Yoda has been on Rebels twice now and this ship is from Rebels too.

That's what you think it looks like?

I guess to each their own, but I liked this ship design better when Serenity's crew used it to sneak Simon into a medical facility to examine River, or when Charlie Wilson had to get the Afghanis some surface to air rockets to knock them out of the sky.

I've been on a binge watch of Clone Wars since it was being pulled out of netflix on June 6th.

Here are the characters I've taken note of during the episodes:

-Assajj Ventress

-Moralo Eval

-Hondo Ohnaka or one of his pirates on 'crackshot'

-Latts Razzi

-Cad Bane

-Dengar

-Boba Fett

-Ahsoka Tano

-C3-P0

-R2-D2

The Prequels have already massively inflitrated X-Wing!!!!!11

Does it count if the character was in the OT first?

Mist Hunter is "Hindiest" of them all... What better way to design a fictional gunship than copying a great real life one...

Assaj Ventress and Cad Bane. Both are prequel only content and one is already in the game, while the outer will be soon.

The second I saw The Auzituk cockpit I was like "That is definitely a MI-24...." which is fine with me. The hind was my favorite helicopter as a kid.

Yeah, it always bugged me it wasn't an American helicopter. I just didn't put the decals on my model one.

Soooooooo...

the russians ARE behind my beloved GUNBOAT being slighted again in favor of another TIE, wookiees and more scummued. Time for an official hearing!

I always thought the Mist Hunter looked like a LAAT, more so than this.

Psst... America doesn't make great attack helicopters, so it's kind of ok... <Waits for someone to bring up the Apache so I can point to the British built version and laugh indefinitely>.

The Hind is legendary, though. Just pure brute force, like the design brief was "we have this IFV, but we want it to fly", so they just moved the engines to the roof and chucked an enormous rotor up there.
There's a private helicopter rental place near me that has a decommissioned one kitted out inside as a sort of flying limo. You see it at horse racing events and such, unloading folks in bespoke gowns and suits. It's kind of hilarious, but also kind of sad.

Apache is great, but it doesn't carry troops. The closest American analog to the Hind would be the Blackhawk I think.

Not really, the troop compartment is small (Mi-2 level small), and Mi-24 is/was very rarely used to carry troops, Soviets found out that it's simply better to have a gunship cover true transport helicopters (Mi-8) than using gunships to carry people. It's sometimes used for SF insertion or in case of emergency, like rescuing a downed pilot.

AH-64E is the best modern attack helicopter hands down, I don't see how British copying it under license make it worse.

Just something I heard, not saying it's true, just saying I heard of Comey, if he stops shaving for a few days he'll look like a wookiee.

Look, can't you just find a way to drop this line of investigation? - it's obviously just some FAKE covfefe made up by a corrupt, secret-agenda media!

And, by the way, I demand absolute - ABSOLUTE - loyalty!

The Bell Huey Cobra was the definitive U.S made attack helicopter during the Vietnam Nam police action(because congress never made a declaration of war.) The v.c. And the nva called these choppers "whispering death".
