Hello!

I'm playing the French version of Star Wars: Rebellion and one of the starter mission cards for the empire is "Renseignement" (which I believe translates to "Intelligence"). It's the one that allows the empire to get 1 extra probe card every 4 rebel units in the base. The very first line of the card says "Resolve in any rebel system"... but the text then goes on saying "If successful, then [...]". So is this a card to which the Rebel player can oppose (i.e. an "attempt" = "entreprendre") or one the rebel player cannot oppose (i.e. a "resolve" = "résoudre")?

As this is my first time posting here, please let me know if I should do something different or could have found the answer by myself.

In English-language version Gather Intel is an "attempt" mission, i.e. it's possible for the Rebels to oppose it.

The 1st line of "Renseignement" says "Entreprendre dans n'importe quel système Rebelle." = attempt (and can be opposed)

Just checked on my card of the french version of the game. If you have another translation, it must be an error.

I just double-checked and mine reallyreads "Résoudre dans n'importe que système Rebelle." I have SKU # FFSWR01. What's your SKU?

It would be great if there was a card inlay I could use to fix that card.

Same SKU. I don't know what to say. Just write "Entreprendre" with a pen above "Resoudre". It's an error obviously. Weird...

Err, writing with a pen on a 90-euro game? No thanks.

I wouldn't like to write on my card either.

If you sleeve your cards, you could write the correct word on a slip of paper and put it in the sleeve with the card. Otherwise just remember it's an "attempt/ Entreprendre" mission.

Of course, a card with a misprint might be valuable!

I have 2 similar questions, thanks to the cards quick-translation provided on BGG:

- "Initiative de sonde droide" = "Probe Droid Initiative" mission: my card reads "Entreprendre"=Attempt, but the quick translation says "Résoudre"=Resolve. Would someone with the English version help me and which one appears on their card?

- "Construire l'étoile noire"="Construct Death Star" project: my card reads to resolve in a *remote* system without any Rebel unit, but the quick translation reads resolve in any system (no matter populous or remote). Would someone with the English version help me and which one appears on their card?

Looks like I need to ask for a "Probe Droid initiative" card too. I trust the editor will have them handy.

I feel like this is significant enough of an error you might try contacting FFG customer support and ask for replacement cards since apparently the correct card translation does exist.

Thanks, David. I have already contacted Asmodee. They gave me the usual auto-reply that they'd be back to me within 4 weeks (of June 16th), so I guess they could be contacting me or I could receive something any time now.

For the record, I just received good word from Asmodee that they've shipped the cards. Yay!

Good news! I now have a fixed Gather intel card!

Bad news! In the full set of cards I have just received today, the Probe Droid Initiative mission is still "attempt" (when I'm told it should be resolved). Oh well - here goes another request...

(I have a feeling I'll end up with 3 times all cards except those 2. )

EDIT: Apparently most French players have the Probe Droid initiative with the "attempt" text too. I'm starting to wonder if this is news to Asmodee.
