Hey Folks! Just saw the new article on the Auzituck Gunship and boy does it look cool! I often wondered about having a non-epic ship with the Reinforce Action - and now we have it! Woohoo!

Anyways, (ahem.. ;) .. sorry...) without further ado, here is the newest member of the Movement Card Reference family, the Auzituck Gunship, God bless!

And nobody has even talked about how Breach Specialists will also be great for Epic. Being able to discard your Reinforce to prevent epic crits should be really great for them.

Dude, this. Epic crits are brutal and can easily shut your huge ship down....i like it!

But that brings its own risks. A stressed Biggs and any Wookiee Gunship will be unable to turn around quickly, so it shouldn't be hard to get behind them.

How quickly to you need to turn around with a 180 degree arc?

I'm actually pretty amazed that they openly made suggestions to make Biggs better..gosh!

Cool ship!

I, personally, am uninspired by the appearance of the ship, love some of the cards... and really kinda annoyed at yet another new ship with a better dial than an X-Wing. Oh well. New product is good and at least it's generating excitement for a good number of players out there.

Umm yes they have.

Also wth is up with that dial? Yeah it has no kturn but with a dang near FULL ACCESS DIAL and 180 arc it doesnt really need a kturn (unlike the uwing). Hell the only thing its missing is 1turns.

Pretty sure these days FFG doesn't even know what a bad dial is supposed to look like.

Does Breach Specialist become auto include on Lothals and Chopper?

Also, could you use Breach Specialist and Leebo pilot to fish Direct Hits and other unwanted crits out of your deck?

And that's where Draw Their Fire comes in, which lets you move those around.

But then you need 2 ships in your lists with A) and EPT slot and B) you don't mind taking damage instead of Biggs.

Yes, people will do it and yes, sometimes it'll be really annoying. But I just don't see it being that bad. To work in any real way Biggs lists have to change way too much I feel.

You need a reinforce token, so no to both

I feel like the chassis is over-costed for what it provides... I went from very excited, to doing the math and becoming slightly disappointed, to getting angry at the hot steaming pile of garbage this is becoming... eventually I'll get to the acceptance stage.

I just don't know how I would use this in 100/6 play that would be more effective than what I do with the existing ships. the cards are more exciting than the ship, but even then I really only feel like the Ghost/YT1300 would benefit at this point, and they already have better options.

Huh? I was expecting it to have a far worse dial to keep from being a bit too good for its points in comparison to other ships that fill about the same role. It's a B-Wing that for two extra points gets an extra point of hull, a 180 degree arc, and a good way to mitigate incoming damage.

If you REALLY want to do a k-turn (or sloop, or turn-kturn) just equip Lightning Reflexes ;)

Eh, given that its largely best with 1-2pt cost upgrades its still pretty decent. And reinforce makes it a ton more durable than it looks so its not another ARC-170.

Its definitely not "OMG THAT IS AMAZING AUTOINCLUDE DAT SHIZ!" good but i wouldnt say its worthless. They might be putting too much value in reinforce, its amazing but its not worth like 5pts or something like that since it eats your action and can be dodged.

I find it funny that they mentioned Tactician when Rebels actually have the best stress-attacker as it is, Braylen. Its going to be pretty dang hard to dethrone that finkrat as the ultimate stress-mule.

Still waiting for that 18-22pt rebel ship that actually does something. Bigger issue with these mid 30s is you end up with just that many points lying around if you include 2 of them. Imps and Scum can easily fill those points with something that isnt broken but definitely capable of doing work, rebels not so much. Cheapest they can field i feel that actually DOES something is a decked out Greenwing (Awing) which is typically 26ish, JUST over the threshold to work with two mid30pts ships.

On the bright side there are no must-have upgrades in this expansion. I won't have to buy one just to put in the box of shame with my TIE Punisher and StarViper.

Calling it now: we're gonna see at least two months of people theorycrafting and complaining about how this expansion helps Biggs, but it won't actually be that good once it hits the table. At some point, you hit diminishing returns on points invested in keeping Biggs alive, leaving you without enough firepower or tricks up your sleeve to win out. Alpha strike lists that ignore Biggs via target-lock-restricted secondary weapons will also continue to do their thing.

I'm more excited to see what this expansion means for being able to emulate Biggs with other ships. I want to try to put together a three, four, or five-ship Rebel build that doesn't use Biggs but still spreads damage around via Selflessness and such.

Yeah, Jess and her A-Wing swarm just got a new second EPT :P That's my initial easy use for the card. Spam it on A's and split your damage around.

Is it just me, or is FFG never on base with their predictions of what will become a great list? I think that this game will find a great place for the Wookiees to live, but I don't think Biggs will have anything to do with it. The reinforce token is a strange thing, and is most efficacious when used against several attacks, so I don't think these guys really want Biggs' protection!

Maybe Biggs/Lowhhrick/Wullffwarro will be the next OP nerf-fest, but I'm expecting the best Auzituck list will be one we didn't expect!

Haha wow. New mechanic is new. Thanks for the correction.

The one without an Auzituck.

Dull as dishwater, just as expected. Anything that plays more into the idiocy of Biggs pilot ability can go and rot in hell, quite honestly. So now the Scurrg is the last hope for a not-a-complete-shambles Wave. And since it's Scum and already undercosted for what stats and slots it has, I'd be unsurprised to see it become the new Lancer/Jumpmaster.

Woopdi-friggin-do.

Selflessness is Unique, so you can't spam it.

Holy crap, Selflessness is no joke. And neither is Lowhhrick. buffing the rebel defense mechanics when they already have God tier Biggs seems insane, but at least it opens up some other options outside of Biggs, which I will take. Wullffwarro feels a little lazy since it is basically Scourge's ability, but it's a fun one.

No flip maneuver could mean bad things for the auzituck. Just look at the U-wing if you want an example of what happens with Rebel crew oriented ships that struggle to flip around.

Breach Specialist is pretty meh. Crit chasing in reverse pretty much, which I don't see being crazy, especially at the expense of a Reinforce token. Some nice anti-Kylo tech if that ever does get to be as big of a problem as players initially thought though.

with no offensive modifications other than focus. no re positioning to get out of arc. too expensive for the obvious synergies (which is probably a good thing). breach needs a reinforce, so if you want to fly it on anything else you need Lowhhrick hanging around, who is expensive to try and limit Biggs/LowHhrick causing an unstoppable focus fire wall while Corran Horn flies around destroying things and not giving a **** about Dengar and Assajj.

The only build I can think of that doesn't seem bad in 100/6 is Base/Tactician on a generic.

Can I just say that it warms my heart that about a third of the posts on this topic so far refer to Epic play?

Finally. . .people are learning how this game is really supposed to be played :P

I like everything about it except that it looks like the food truck from 5th element. Which might otherwise be awesome, but wookiees don't wear hair nets. Ill pass on the hairy taco express delivery service .

OK, someone seriously needs to do a repaint!
