Rebel Tanks

By LUKEOUT, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hi all,

I'm looking to get ready for a store championship here soon and was looking for some criticism on this list.

I have to give credit to GiledPallaeon for giving the template for this list, but with tweaks to it to use the cards I have.

Thanks for looking!

How do you see yourself playing this list? Your deployment and the way you target your opponent's ships are going to matter significantly more running two big guys.

Keeping all the ships relatively close together is going to be important. Trying to keep the Pelta alive to continue regening shields is also important. I think forcing my opponent to focus on either big ship is the goal. Probably my weak point would be getting flanked and having either the Pelta or transport taken out would hurt.

Fighters would also give you problems. They could bomb the lynchpin into oblivion even if they were just TIEs.

Defensive fleets work when they are defending something. Get 2-3 vcx's in there and pick fire lanes, sensor net, and whatever red you can score points on and feel confident you can win (station assault, close range intel if you go home1, most wanted as a last ditch). You wont get any landslide wins with this fleet, but if you can pick up points from an objective you will increase your margin considerably.

Broba is correct, these fleets need to win their objectives to consistently score well. Fire Lanes works well enough, and Sensor Net or Dangerous Territory both can work. I'd also get @BiggsIRL's opinion, since you have actually moved back towards his list, the progenitor of mine.

EDIT: If you're giving Endeavor QTC, get Home One. Otherwise drop it.

I wouldn't overestimate the capability of fighters. Don't underestimate them certainly, but sniping the Pelta isn't as easy as it sounds. Finding points for a couple squadrons is probably wise, but the bigger issue for fighters is less locking them down than having spare shots to fire at them, which my fleet rarely did.

What GiledPallaeon said. Running QTC without Home One is considered a treasonous crime in the Rebellion. If' you're struggling to find points for it, you could drop Assault Cruiser for Command Cruiser. That extra red you lose is probably just going to be a blank anyway.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Unfortunately, I don't have the CC expansion, so I'm limited with my objective choices.

I did miss the synergy with Home One and QTC.

I did consider dropping the transport to fit a few squads.

At this point I'm not sure I'd be able to improve on what GiledPallaeon did.
