Asajj without Latts

I know I'm thinking outside the box here. But I've been running a Palobtanni list that looks like the below. I have flown it three times now and am yet to lose. Several times, Asajj was not even out of shields yet. One game Asajj did get down to half health and therefore would have been less margin of victory. I know most would say I'm crazy to not auto include Latts. But with two green dice and focus if needed, she is decently tanky anyway. And Palob becomes far more powerful. Palob stays at range three if at all possible and so is rarely deep in the fight. Primarily just passing focus and when needed, TLT at range 3 with two rerolls and one focus. Thoughts?

I dunno. Boosting Palob like that still means a max of two damage from him a round.

But Asajj can be a heavy hitter, and can soak a lot of damage with Latts. So, I guess if you want the stress to stick around and mess up enemies, then this is fine as is. But I think that investing the points in boosting Palob's TLT is a mistake.

It's not a list crippling thing to remove Latts. You are basically losing an evade on Asajj in the endgame, for more consistent damage in the early game. So you will only really feel the effect of Latts-less if Palob is alpha striked off the board early. I fly Ketsu w/ Dengar crew instead of Asajj + Latts and I get that same trade off. Ketsu's attack power vs Asajj defense. Asajj survives and plinks away. Ketsu kills before being killed. As long as you manage Palobs range and keep him safe, it can be a decent trade. That said, with all the ordnance around, and HLC Dash + Miranda lists picking up steam, it is risky to put more points into a 5HP, 2 agi ship.

I'm with the rest of them here. Palob's turret will be very consistent, which meand he has a huge target on his back.

Asajj without Latts is fine, and running her with Mindlink is almost a neccesity, but as others have mentioned, you'll miss Latts later in the game, when all your ships are dead, and staying alive is important. Personally, Asajj is a bit thinner on your list than I would be comfortable fielding; Latts, Tactician, Gyro... something else to give her a bit more oomph.

Otherwise, it's a rather punchy list.

Every time I would see Asajj without Lats across the table I would be really happy. Makes that list so much easier to deal with.
