Just did an C-ROC unboxing video - and I don't know if my box simply didn't have a reference card or what.... but I have no idea what the container token is supposed to do. Don't obstacles and bombs usually come with a reference card?
Container Token - What does it do?
It deploy the new debris that comes with the box. It's in the booklet!
I didn't see any entry for it in the booklet. Though I'll admit I looked at it very quickly - I was expecting a card to explain and just figured it was another printing error
It's somewhere around/after where it explains actions/new cards. Basically when a ship discards the cargo card you place the cargo token in base contact with your ship, but not overlapping any other ships. It's counted as an asteroid obstacle, so shorter range than what I hoped (though it's pretty long) but more dangerous than a debris field generally.

That's cool. Makes it feel distinct from rigged cargo
It can be placed under two circumstances:
One of the Crit's makes you lose a cargo upgrade and place the token
One of the upgrades allow you to (discard that card to) place it at the beginning of combat.
Rules for placement are in the booklet - can't remember which page, but seem to recall it's about halfway down the first column on the left side.
Page #6, 5th section on the left!
I don't remember the rules word for word, but we read them last night at the FLGS.
The token is treated like an asteroid. When you place it, it must be touching the ship that it came from.
A C-Roc can carry up to 3 cargo upgrades. There is one quick release upgrade. But there are 4 spilled cargo crits, where you place a container token (as long as you an equipped cargo left, which you loose upon the crit), so theoretically you could need 3 tokens. The C-Roc comes with only 1 cardboard container token, 2 would have been better.

They're a limited upgrade, so you can only equip one to each huge ship unfortunately. Would have been hilarious to drop 3 cargo tokens and form a wall behind you xD
Thing is there is also a spilled cargo critical damage effect that uses the token too. Four of them to be exact (2 for each side). I'm guessing since the rigged cargo chute everyone is speculating they work just like debris clouds.

Since up to 5 can be placed from one C-ROC, yes, 2 would definitely have been better. And 3 would have been better than 2. I have no clue why FFG was that stingy here.
Edited by hasloHmm, yeah it seems you could drop equal container tokens as you have cargo upgrade slots assuming you have cargo equipped, based on the crits. They've worded it in a way that basically make them a direct hit with a condition for the additional damage. It's a bit stingy, but I can understand why they only included 1 given there's only 1 upgrade card that intentionally drops the token.
