Hi!
I and my son bought this game a short time ago and plays with the basic box. We need a good handicap system (preferable something other then changing the decks). Does anyone have any suggestions (preferable something you have tried)?

1) one side has fewer hitpoints in each zone. Try decreasing each by one until the victories balance out in a way that is good for you and your son
2) One player starts off with more cards, extra resources, a couple of units, supports, or developments down already.
3) One player uses only Spellfire cards
You could also play with multi-race decks and allow him not to have to pay/play the alliance cards.
There are three easy handicaps
You can mix and match these as you see fit.

Where the
hell
did you find Spellfire cards? I assumed any left over were sold to resturants for coasters.
Thanks all of you!
I think we will go with Dormouse suggestion and use all three. It is rather loopsided at the moment.
Give your son Orcs and you play Empire. That will even it up a little with the just the Core Set.
