Elrad's Cave

By Elrad, in Star Wars: Destiny

Hey guys,

For the ones who may know me in the Runewars forum, I did create a thread like this over there. The goal is simple, centralizing my questions (and your answers) so I don't open a new thread every single thing that makes me question the universe bout it.... well... it starts so well :D

Ok, straight to business, first question here :

SWD04_121.jpg

Salvo makes me ask a small question that can be met in many cards descriptions : when Salvo tells us about "dice showing range damage", does it include those showing modifiers ? Can I use this card with a dice showing +2 or does Salvo obey to the rule that says that a +2 damage must be played along with a "normal" damage dice ?

thanks

Salvo allows you to resolve one of your dice. So in order to use it, you must be able to resolve that die. Since you can't resolve a modifier by itself, you wouldn't be able to use a card like this to resolve it.

Likewise if you wanted to use salvo on a die with a resource cost, you would still need to pay the resource cost on the die since you are resolving it. If you can't pay the resource cost, then you wouldn't be able to use Salvo to resolve it.

This is correct! From the rules reference:
RESOLVING DICE THROUGH CARDS

Many cards allow a player to resolve one or more dice. When a player resolves a die through a card, they use the normal die effect based on the symbol, and follow any extra instructions.

  • A player must still pay any resource cost on that die.

  • A player cannot resolve a modifier by itself.

  • A player cannot use modifiers when resolving a die through a card effect, unless the card allows them to resolve multiple dice of the same symbol.

Thanks you two. :)
