I'm going to what I thought was a chilled tournament this Saturday. Turns out these guys are serious X Wing gamers.

I'm thinking of this, what do you think?

Guri, Predator, Virago, Auto thrusters, Sensor Jammer (40)

Palob, Ion Cannon Turret, Dengar (28)

4-Lom, Adaptability (to match their ps), Outlaw Tech, Advanced Sendorsed (32).

I don't mind losing, but I don't want to get smashed 0-100 and not have fun.

Starting from the Bottom, I like 4-Loms build and using maneuvers in conjunction with advanced sensors to self stress is more unique than relying on Zuckuss.

Palob is interesting, I immediately want to pair him with predator, so he can get some nice combos with dengar however I see the reason for not doing that because you want to keep Guri alive and tough.

Guri with sensor jammer is a cool combo and with Palob you can strip tokens well so they work well together.

a unique list with some good combinations, you can strip tokens and give them stress to make it stay that way.

However, is the list capitalising on that ability? As I said earlier it works well with sensor jammers on Guri and applying stress while stripping tokens is always a good thing so it works by keeping the enemy down while still applying damage.

One change I may make is in regards to Dengar. I'd trade him for Latts Razi. With Palobs ability he can stress himself, take a token for offence and then strip it for defence. He loses some attack power but as a HWK keeps him in the game a bit longer. Still I wouldn't outright say it's a better choice.

the most important aspect of this list will be how you fly it. Is 4-Lom going straight down the middle so Guri can arc dodge and Palob can float around the edge shooting in, are they all jousting? Do they act more independently as aces?

TLDR

I think this is an awesome list with good abilities and that work well together. Best of luck, sorry I wasn't much help, just gave a brief analysis of the list :P and what as an opponent I would expect to come out from it so keep that in mind, as an opponent I'd fosee some kind of formation flying and attempt to capitalise on the restriction if you wanting to have your ships work together.

Sadly I don't have a Protectorate or Shadow caster.

Your comments were really helpful Quadjumper King, cheers. I was considering Palob and 4-Lom rolling in from one side while Guri powers forward and tries to flank. So either way the opponent chooses which ships to turn away from.

It's good to know that a tight formation wouldn't work, I was considering that with them all being ps5. So I won't be scared to break formation.

I think Palob will work best 2 turning around the enemy. With a few changes to his movement to avoid him beino predictable.

With Guri I tend to always choose the 2nd best option of maneuver. Hoping that the opponent predicts the best.

I will see how it goes.
