So I'm going to a tournament this weekend and I'm torn between what I should take. I love the ARC-170, so I know I want to take it, but I don't know what to take with it. The two lists I have are

The idea is to target lock the K-Wings first round to get a poor man's predator on the TLTs. I can also switch the target locks for defensive use throughout the game.

I can use the Talas to swarm and possibly force bumps. I have already used the second list before and done quite well.

I'm just not sure if the K-Wings would be a better choice. Also if you have suggested changes, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.

A swarm along with an arc sounds fun. Idk about tournament build worthy though esp without missiles. Ive flown a list a few times thats fun. Sort of a try to keep biggs alive list and gives you good action economy and offense.

Ahsoka(21) - sabines masterpiece, rey, vi

Biggs(31) - r2-f2, stealth device (can take sd off and change up list if you don't want to rely on green dice)

Thane(34) - r2-d6, swarm leader, jyn, vectored thrusters, alliance overhaul

Stay in formation. Stock up a few focus tokens on ahsoka. Biggs uses r2f2 or focus. Evade with rex and ahsoka. Use whatever action seems best to use first with thane depending on opponents ps. Then use ahsoka to do whichever action you didn't do of the 2 on biggs.

After first shot on biggs if you had to spend your focus use jyn with thane to assign more tokens to biggs. Then any other shots on biggs before thane shoots use actions to get target lock, focus, or use vt. you are safe to use evades for swarm leader for a 5-6 dice attack normally with focus and tl. Then rex does his thing.

Ive flown this list twice and won both, though with an asterick on the 2nd because of a mishap on the first round of shooting. There was a mistake after his OL shot. My friend was nice enough to let me go back to use jyn to keep biggs alive from his 3rd shot. Then he blanked on 8 greens with Vader. To be fair i blanked on 6 out of 7 on biggs lol

Had i not forgotten jyn it would have been a clean win.

This list is weaker against missile/torp lists but i feel there's ways you can fly against it. Also lower than 4 ps hurts thanes actions preattack, so need to account for that

I like your idea about the K-Wings, supported by m9g8. This way you can modify a lot of their TLT shots.

People are probably going to attack Thane first though to debuff the other ships.

Thane can take an action after another friendly ship is fired at, if the enemy ship is in Thane's arc. So, pair him Biggs, enemy shoots at Biggs, and Thane drops cluster mines as his action. If you do it right, the bombs will be almost unavoidable next round.
