Descent App came good 4 years after release of D2ed. 2019 for IA app?
Just kidding.
Any news for a Descent style app?
Ya if anything RTL showed us that they are more than capable of adapting an existing Version of a game to an app based format.
I feel like George R.R. Martin here but patience people, the app is coming, it's going to be great
It's summer time, get outside enjoy the weather, plenty of time for table tops in the cool dark of winter.

I feel you. Mine turned six months this weekend. Have you hit the four month sleep regression? It's a doozy.

No today is 7 weeks, we've still got a ways to go I know, lol.

THE WHAT NOW?
My boy just hit four months. Don't tell me it gets worse?

Oh yeah, it's a real thing. The severity varies based on how good a sleeper your boy already is. Babies under 4 months can fall into a very deep sleep very easily. That's why it's actually easier to do things like long car trips or plane travel with them. But around four months their brains develop enough to the point they are able to stay awake longer, and so you kind of have to build a sleep schedule all over again. It was very common for my wife or I to be rocking the baby to sleep in our arms, and she'd be out like a light, but her brain was more sensitive to movement, and as soon as we got up and put her in the crib - BAM - her eyes would pop open and she'd be wide awake. It's a good cognitive milestone that you just have to bear through for about two weeks or so, but it can be frustrating.

Edited by Pollux85I think it's hilarious that the app thread has devolved into baby development talk. I have a 2.5 year old so those days seem long ago. I will say that every stage has been fun so far!

Have you hit the "I'm going to stand beside your bed and stare at you until you wake up" stage yet? Because that scared the crap out of me the first time it happened.

Funny, but also to be expected. When FFG has their developmental milestones with the app, then we'll talk about that. Until then, we're in a news drought, and my kid is frickin' awesome.
This week, baby girl has started to giggle, just because daddy laughs. I'm going to use this to help her practice her evil laugh.
To bring this thread back on topic a bit...
Who here thinks that the app will be ready in time for all our kids to play it before they move out?

I'm not sure about that...
We might have a HotE article by then, but I tend to look at the app through a more "Leave the world a better place than you entered it" kind of situation. Maybe our ancestors will remember us when they play the app.
Edited by subtrendy2I love that this thread has gone off topic - maybe someone at FFG will read it and think, wow, we really need to put some news out!
maybe.
wait.. didnt they said the app would come later this year ? :S

Yes. But as far as the app goes, I think we should just assume we are on George R.R. Martin time. It's done when it's done. They have goals, but who knows?

hum yeah i see.. when are they supposed to announce new things other than the website ? some soon convention or event?
Edited by goncardosoGenCon is the big board game convention coming up, August 17th-20th. There will definitely be some big announcements around that time frame.. but we really don't know what that will be.

People keep saying they're saving the articles for HotE for GenCon, but that seems silly.
HotE getting a GenCon release would make sense (or would have, if the release schedule wasn't so far behind now). A new wave announcement would have made sense at GenCon. But articles for an already announced product? We get those almost every day for other games, guys...
For the app, though... now that would make a little more sense, and a lot of us are anticipating it. I think that if there is some significant news on the app, we'll get it then.
Otherwise...

No need to report on that until we have something to report.

They announced MoM2ed right before GenCon and they released it there and it had app ![]()

I actually did this with my son. He had a wicked evil laugh between 10 and 14 months. My wife made me stop it because it freaked people out.

She's still young, but I envision my parenting style as basically to train my children to become supervillains. That seems like it would open up some really interesting retirement options. Plus even if I fail and she rebels against me, that will mean I've raised someone who fights for the forces of good. Either way, parenting win!

And gencon is only 6 weeks away!

I would be so ridiculously surprised if we get the app and the expansion at gencon. I'd be surprised to get even one of those thing, even.
I mean, it'd be really freaking cool, but even I cannot allow myself to get to that level of overhype.
Yeah, the best we can hope for is a few preview articles leading up to gencon, so they can then reveal the next wave after HOTE. But if we don't start seeing the previews, I'd be very surprised if there's anything new at gencon.
Boo.
Tomorrow will be approximately 2.5 months, 10 weeks, 70 days, 1680 hours, 100,800 minutes or 6,048,000 seconds since our last article, depending how you want to count it..
This is sad times for IA :/
