So I'm reading these cards, and both seem to have an effect that triggers "Before deploying fleets".
Which triggers first?
Logic tells me that the Interdictor would have no way of dropping a Grav well from hyperspace (I think? Interdictors are experimental and in the old EU were used to rip things out of hyperspace, so I don't really know what their capabilities are here...), would the rules allow one to place the Grav well token before choosing the interdictor as the hyperspace assault ship?
G7X and Hyperspace Assault timing.
Default to First Player, Second Player timing.
First Player does all of his effects first, then second player does his effects.
Note however, that you never remove the Grav Well Token... So if a Grav Well Token happens to be near a Hyperspace Token, and you happen to Hyperspace in to that Token so your deployment is within Distance 3........ You'll be at Speed 0.

What if second player has the Interdictor?

Then the default is "when one players effects share the same timing, that player chooses the order in which they are resolved."
RRG, Page 5, "Effects and Timing"
• If two or more of a player’s effects have the same timing, that player can resolve those effects in any order.
• If both players have effects with the same timing, the first player resolves all of his effects with that timing first.

Very cool. Not sure quite how that works in terms of lore ( I suppose it's no more messed up than hyperspacing ties in without a carrier lol) but I'll take it. lol
The Lore angle is tricky - especially considering we don't have many canon depictions of Interdictors actually doing their interdictor thing at the moment.
Most of it is legends.
What we have seen of an Interdictor was one pullout of Hyperspace, and then a whole bunch of either Exploding, or Stopping people from going away...

I was thinking the same thing... I guess for now... or at least for the game's sake, they're able to drop Grav Wells from very long distances or even while in hyperspace lol
OH, OH! I see now!
Let me add an amendment to you.
There's Contention that placing Grav Well Tokens, and then putting The Interdictor into Hyperspace, actually turns those tokens off , because the Grav Well Card is not there to resolve the Rules... Same reason as putting Motti into Hyperspace means your ships don't get the Hull Boost until he Arrives.

Ah! That makes sense.
Okay so I could place it, but ultimately, it would be useless on any ship but my own, as it wouldn't be able to resolve the effect until the interdictor deployed from hyperspace....
Thanks Dras, I'm using a new PT fleet tonight and I'm hoping my opponent takes the bait of hyperspace assault.... not being able to use G7xs might be enough lol

That is correct.
So ideally, don't stick the Interdictor itself into Hyperspace... But of course, if its your only Small or Medium, it has to.

In this particular case, getting that thing into hyperspace would be a godsend.
Lining up an Imperial class on it's prey is super easy when I don't have to fly formations to keep the PT combo assembled. I've got 2 gozantis throwing tokens and killing fighters, but they shouldn't get in the way. So using Hyperspace to keep the OP ship safe until the ISD is ready should be quite nice.
I'm just hoping that the loss of G7xs on my side will be enough to bait him into taking Hyperspace assault....
lol we'll see...
