Palp nerf reversal

Reverse Palp nerf. Make range 3.

Or add Yoda that does same thing.

They didn't make it a Range Limit because they thought it wouldn't be enough for X/7's. Seems they were wrong, hope they do make it a Range limit.

They don't need to reverse the palp nerf. He's fine.

Yup, Palp is in good place now, still strong but not close to OP that it was before! So I'm sure that there is no chance of nerfing him back.

Making Yoda the same as Palp is lazy game design and thematically inaccurate. Fail on two counts.

They are done messing with Palp. They aren't going to FAQ him multiple times when he isn't an out of balance problem anymore.

having an auto include card in a $100 set was too much. i think palp is fine for now.

On beer nights we have reversed the FAQ....not just because we thought it so un-Emperor of them, but the **** card costs too much now at two slots and 8 for his pre-roll power, in our democratic opinion. Not that many guys run him anyway. In the current bent meta, he's actually fine pre-FAQ 4.3.2. Now if they get their heads on straight up in headquarters and admit their huge mistake and beg forgiveness and knock the ridiculous toilet chassis down to earth, then we can talk Emperor nerf again. But when pints are in hand and the JK5 is allowed to suck the life out of squads, he's staying just like he is, to h*** with management, they're up there watching youtube or sleeping anyway.

Palp is almost fine. It should read before rolling or re-rolling. That way it gets a bit better on offence if you have a TL or some other way to re-roll red dice. But it will be the same, except for lonewolf defensively.

Leave as is. No more f/e super-tankers with old pall backing them up. That was a huge block to lots of potential ships.

Prohibiting the use of Focus Tokens doesn't make any sense on an ability associated with THE Jedi Master.

I'd make Yoda crew add the Coordinate action to all friendly pilots of PS 8 or higher.

Palp works OK now, but he's about 3 points overcosted now. If he were 5/2crew I'd run him more. But if I'm going to pay 8 points, I want old palp. He's just not good enough for the points now. The fact people still take him shows what a sorry state Imperial upgrades are in.

He's dead. He's so dead, in fact, that he won Brasil nationals as well as multiple store championships after the nerf.

He's not an auto-include anymore but he's far from useless. Get over it.

P.S. Palpaces were even more cancerous than deadeye scouts. I'm glad they nerfed him.

That, and this opened up the design space for the imperium, since they no longer have to account for a free evade and a 28+ point lambda in every goddamn list.

Imperials are actually quite balanced right now. A few weak overcosted ships like Punisher need a bit of help, but majority of their ships are in a great place. They are just having problems with the broken ships/cards like Jumpmasters and Sabine crew.

Respectfully, I disagree; Yoda only used his powers to help pilots, such as Luke in training, when they weren't in focus at all. So my card text is far more Yoda like, IMO.

The same has happened at our dining room table, for all the above reasons and because we always play Epic. . .and 1 changed die roll in 10-15 per turn don't mean that much.

Yep, you nailed it @wurms , these too get whacked like X7s and semi-retired Palp and we're all in on Palp's 'wheelchair card' as we call it.
