Can you use 3D printed crates, ect at official tournaments?

Tokens
Tokens are representations of information about the game or game state. The presence of tokens is
marked by one or more indicators. Indicators may also be used to represent multiple tokens, or
other open or derived information. Tokens are not essential components.

Typically, players use the cardboard tokens included in official product as indicators. However,
players may choose to use other items as indicators, so long as they do not obscure significant
component information, are resistant to accidental modification, and their purpose of use is clear to
both players. The marshal is responsible for determining the legality of an indicator and its reasonable
usage during a match if objected to by its ownerâs opponent.

Watching IA videos, I seen alot with people using 3D printed crates, terminals, doors, like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CX4WVYS/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1UKXM2EW9JZO8&colid=ZWIA493OVCN0

Can we use those at official tournaments?

As quoted above, they are legal, as long as both players are ok with them. I'm not a big fan since they can get in the way fairly significantly. Figures can occupy the same space as crates and terminals, so I don't see much motivator to put a 3d item there. The same for Massive or Mobile figures and impassable terrain. It simply gets in the way. I much prefer any reasonable flat token (acrylic or cardboard).

I can see not wanting them in Skirmish, but I like the crates and the smokey doors in campaign. While I love the terrain pieces that are available, and they make beautiful pictures, too many objects do clutter the board, so I stop at crates and doors. I think it gives just enough 3D contrast.

I love the transparent doors. They make game play much better.

I would look at what my list is and the guy I was playing and if either of us have models not small based I wouldn't use 3D terrain if we both had just small models or may be jabba who doesn't really move I would suggest 3D terrain for crates, terminals.and I have see through doors.
