Just rolled a single crit into Rey from my 1 hull RAC... it was Major Explosion into Major Explosion into a Direct Hit!!!

My Fenn Rau got one-shotted by a TIE Fighter from R2 the other day (odds for that are like 0,04%)

Can't tell without knowing how many cards were left in the damage deck, and if any of the ones that had already been dealt were direct hits.

Ok background I had shown Poe and Rey the dark side so 4 pilot Crits taken out, so the odds would be

2/29*3/8*1/28*3/8*7/27 right?

2/29 for major, dice roll, 1/28 major, dice roll and then a 7/27 Direct right?

A 1/11136 chance??

Trying to wrap my head around that

See above. Only four damage cards taken out all pilot Crits from kylo

I've experienced Major Explosion into Direct Hit with Fenn, too. It's oddly un-frustrating, because the low odds of it happening make it an interesting experience. Which is strange, I assume.

Dude, this guy is sharing an awesome and interesting EXPERIENCE, while your just talking about WINNING. Its WAAC attitude like that which makes the game less fun to play sometimes

I feel your pain, I played in a casual store tournament this weekend just gone, my Fenn was shot at by a Black Crack TIE. At range 3. Through an Asteroid. 5 die later, all blanks. Ahhh autothrusters I said, nope Crack that please. OK 1 hit and a crit, crit was a direct hit...so went from a very healthy 4 health to 1 from a goram TIE at range 3....

Then, yeah, I think that is right.

Though you could also factor in the odds of rolling the critical in the first place, and of her not defending it.

It's a very small chance, but given the enormous number of games played every day, it's going to happen a lot.

I played a game yesterday flying RAC with Kylo and my opponent managed to deal more crits than me.

Haha I just always theorized about that crit scenario. I never actually thought I would see it. And some other information, I had Rebel Captive on RAC and it was Expertise Rey in arc at range 1. My RAC had damaged cockpit so he was pilot skill 0.

So my RAC had 4 hull left and his Rey 7. Because of rebel captive after his Finn and rerolls he had: hit hit hit focus focus. Rebel captive saved my life. Then I blanked my shot back, gunner-ed, and got that single crit on Rey. To have that single crit go through and drop her health from 7 to 3 (and a full health stealth device Soontir up his rear) was disheartening enough for him to want to call it after that crit roll. He wasn't mad though he was amazed that scenario with the crit actually happened.

Out of my 1.5 years playing X-Wing, that might have been one of the greatest rounds I have ever experienced because of the astronomical results of that crit.

Thats what hat I wanted to share. It was literally the luckiest round of X-Wing I had ever had. And I've had my fair share of both lucky and unlucky rounds
