What would you add and why??

Honestly, two Snap Shot A-Wings are better than one. You'll have five points left to upgrade your HWK turret to TLT or maybe add Autothrusters to the A-wings for extra protection.

I'm adding that extra A-wing in squad builders now. It's a toss up on adding the Autothrusters or upgrading the Dorsal Turret to TLT on the HWK.

Last night, I ran the HWK and the Y-Wing in formation so the HWK could cover the Y at range one. He got Poe inside range one several times getting shots on the Y-wing. The HWK was able to return fire with the Dorsal. If I swap out the Dorsal, I guess I could fly them more open but keeping them within range two of each other and keeping Garven within range 3 so he can pass on his focus to the Y.

However, I'm thinking the Autothrusters would be better. I could run the HWK, Y and Garven in a tighter formation allowing them to cover each other and focus fire. Use the A's to flank and block.

Also, if I'm going to flank with the A's, Outmaneuver might be good on one of them!!

Finally, Spamdex's idea of adding a B-wing with FCS is also a solid choice for this next 25 points!! Choices, choices, choices!!! LOL

Round two of the league is in the books. Tonight, I faced Red 6 and his squad of merry porkers. Just as at the Battle of Yavin, Porkins when down in a ball of flames. Once again, I ran the table destroying all my opponents ships without loosing any of my ships to enemy fire. I did make one stupid trick maneuver that didn't work so well causing me fly my Y wing right off the map.....with 3 hull and 2 shields left. What a waste!

The Garvin, Y, A HWK team worked well. The real shiners were my two turret weapons and the A wing. Between Snap shots, Blaster turrets and TLT's, I was able to slowly wear them down. Porkins kept Garven and my Y wing stressed out which led to a long 2 hr 15 min game. Good game though and with tonight's win, I'm currently in the league lead.

Next week, we add another 25 points and I'll need them. My opponent is a veteran player and was in the lead until tonight. However, he was still playing when I left so he may return to the lead spot. Tonight, he was flying:

Maarek Stele + Adv Homing Missles + Tractor Beam + Expert Handling + Tie/D + Engine Upgrade

Scimitar Sqd Pilot + Tie Shuttle + Lightweight Frame + Systems Officer

Black Eight Sqd Pilot + FCS + Extra Munitions + Plasma Torps + Cluster Missles + Twin Ion Mk II

He'll be adding 25 points to his squad before we face off. No telling what he'll add.

I was thinking of adding that Blue Sqd B-wing + FCS. Hopefully, I can get it in range 1 and sling 4 dice and reroll with the TL. I need to sling some damage fast in this match. Figure I better Focus fire on Maarek first and try to knock him out early before he can start picking damage cards.

If I just add the B-wing + FCS that brings me to 123 points out of 125. So, what to do with the 2 extra points:

1. I could add Vectored Thrusters to either my Y or HWK making them a little more maneuverable.

2. I could add Autothrusters to my A making him a little more evasive.

3. I could add B-wing/E2 title to the B and add a 1 point crew member

You guys are golden with your advice. So, I've got to keep taking that advice. Thoughts?

I've got 125 points for next weeks squad and think your B-wing would be a good fit.

The best 1 point crew member for the B-Wing would be Hera. Make the dial much more forgiving. Just maintain that target lock and roll 3-4 hits as often as you can.

Autothrusters are a definite especially if your facing turrets

Looking at that you will probably want vectored thrusters . Could help with getting out of ordnance range . Autothrusters will be a waste as youll want to be closer than range 3 for snap shot to trigger

Just opened my C-ROC and got the Pulsed Ray Shield. That needs to go on my HWK!!!!
