Thinking too hard about Generic StarVipers

That's fine. You can fly the Viper :). Realistically, I don't fly the protectorate generic either, so I won't be flying either :P. I'll stick to guri or xizor (or one of the new pilots) with the Virago title. And Fenn/Old T for the protectorate. All of their generics are overcosted anyway on both ships, even after this fix.

I tried the SSSSZ tonight, against AASharaNorra.

I won. By the way, the best thing about the list the rounded B-roll! It's amazing!! Open up a lot of possibilites, and it'a perfect to flank a ship (try to joust and then B-Roll AROUND the enemy ship). Next turn you can just hard 1-2 and you have done a K-turn.

It's difficult to write it, but try to do some moves into the table: it opens a lot of maneuvers.

I can't immagine about an ADV sensor with it...

I'm thinking about playing again the SSSSZ, or just 4 Vipers with Hull-Upgrades. At 5hull+1Shield will be amazing.

Or just 4PRS. Must try it again.

It's fantastic with advanced sensors.

If I was gonna run the generics I'd probably go with 4 with autothrusters. Not as helpful for a joust (though if you can set up the first engagement at range 3 it's great), but will be immensely helpful against turrets
