I mean sure, that totally messes up the movement phase, but what about all the other parts of the game where you can troll your opponent? I was going for the well rounded troll. No escape from the shenanigans, no hope for their soul.

I am of the opinion that one high quality troll is worth more than lots of tiny trolls. :D

Then you should've included Valen Rudor!!!

Yes, he is absolutely required in a troll fleet.

But why give your target a reprieve. Take away all of their fun!

Commander's Guide to the Quasar Fire goes up tomorrow.

My personal favorite mini-troll tactic lately has been to throw Montferrat on my Slicer Tool Supressor. Extremely satisfying to shoot them with a single blue, Slicer tool them, and then only take a one or two die attack because you took away their concentrate fire and moved in to a secondary arc.

One version of the fleet had Montferrat on the Suppressor. I ended up pulling it off to make room for something else.

Glad to know that it would work!

This is true he wanted to do that.

Yet another project starting up: Phase of the Game!

Would it be better to use Approach phase or something like that? Manuever is a loaded word in this game.

Looking forward to these.

Well, you might not WANT to approach the enemy. A better word might be "Closing" but I think maneuver is the best at describing the focus of this stage no matter your actual game plan.

I still think phantoms are too costly points wise to be a favorite for sloane.

On the other hand, they don't evaporate in a soft breeze like TIE Fighters. It requires at least a stiff breeze.

I agree, but there's no arguing that the best squadrons for Sloane are TIE fighters, interceptors, and Phantoms. I've seen some effective use of Phantoms if you can get the squad fight to be around the station.

Agreed, and if you get/bid for second you can place the station where you want it....

The FAQ just dropped a week ago, so the "meta" already took a shot gun to the head. Not sure what point you're trying to prove right now.

I'm confused who you're angry at.

Truthiness is perpetually angry at everyone, at all times, forever. Don't ask what you did, didn't do, or potentially might do in the future.

YOU HAVE BEEN JUDGED AND FOUND WANTING.

Angry? Who said anything about angry? Above all, I'm mocking myself with that article. That's how my stupid brain works. It's my guide to being counter meta. Notice the title says "Idiot's Guide." I'M THE IDIOT.
