We are going to start our first Hoth Campaign. (we don't have JR).
We would like to not use Gideon, Fenn, Diala.
What do you think about Verena, Mak, Murne, MHD? Could they Work together? Too much support?
Thank you!

Get her Lead from the Front and the Hand Cannon (preferably with Extra Ammunition) and Murne really murders imperial figures. MHD-19 performing healing out of a hero's activation is very strong, and Stimming to give focused is also very strong in the early campaign.
Mak is overall good. I have least experience with Verena, but she is capable of impressive cleanup rounds if you play her well.
Not too much support.

If you like those characters but you're worried about having too much support, you can build Murne as a pretty spectacular tank/damage-dealer. Lead From the Front is the key card - it kind of pigeon-holes you into activating her early, but if you do you get a free damage, a free pierce and you can recover - with each attack. And usually you can work it so that you can attack twice, especially if you have Solidarity to take care of all of your movement and (even more) recovery. Set up like this, Murne is probably the hardest hero in the game to take down. Add some healing from MDH and your imperial could have a tough time getting rid of her.
Verena and Mak are all-around good, too, plus from your team only Verena wants to buy melee weapons and be right up next to the enemy. I guess what I'm saying is that I'd say you've got a pretty well balanced team that should be able to hold their own.
You're already using the three (probably) most powerful heroes in the game. You can throw in pretty much any other hero and you'll do fine.

Maybe you misread - he said he doesn't want to use Gideon, Fenn and Diala.

This looks like a solid team! Can deal with groups (Verena), single targets (Mak), stay alive (Murne and MHD), and has 2 characters who don't need great weapons (Murne and MHD).
The only concern I would have is that you don't have a great person to use a melee weapon. You can give Verena a melee weapon if you want, but several of her abilities require a ranged weapon. So you might want to consider bringing one of the pure melee users instead (Davith or Garkhaan, if you don't have JR and don't want to use Diala). Otherwise melee weapons and attachments are useless draws for you.
Though I have heard that MHD with a melee weapon and Combat Override is pretty scary... ![]()
I was Imp in RtH and Murne quickly became target #1. Just glad we didn't have the hand cannon yet. (shudder) As A1bert said - MHD is great for healing out of turn. Searching the deck for medical cards is also fantastic.
I think Verena would be on the top of that list. She's really strong in the early-mid campaign when you are surrounded by low-value troops. She's a major disincentive for the IP to just swarm. My rebels gave her hand cannon with an accuracy attachment (forget which one) and she wrecked trooper groups. She's really good at crowd control. But she's also a little tricky to play so I'd have one of the more experienced players use her. I think your Murne/Verena combo could be interesting since they both have some interesting attack dynamics. Could be really strong if you can synergize some of this. MHD is pretty good in RtH and sort of thematic.
Thank you very much!!
IP will use Armored Onslaught.
If I build Murne as tank/damage-dealer, I guess that means I will not have to choose Waylay and company of Heroes. What About if it shows up Allies Like Leia or Hera?

I'm interested in this, what kind of synergize?
We read that Verena has three different build
- Bases on Close Quarters (Combat Momentum, Master Operative,...)
- Based on Point Blank Shot (Point Blank Shot, Combat Mastery,..)
- Hybrid
Which of these with this group?

Well the good news is that Company of Heroes is only 1XP, so no matter what build you're doing you can just put it off until you earn an ally that you'd like to bring along. As for Waylay, it's tougher to fit in both that and Lead from the Front at the same time, but if you think you'd have more fun going that way then I'm sure you can still make the team work. Mak especially would be a good candidate for the extra attack, and if you get a good ally as well then you can have both the ally and Mak make an attack (which is when that card starts to look really good).
As an aside, I haven't played with her yet but it strikes me that Hera would be a super-awesome ally to have against Armoured Onslaught. The standout card in that deck seems to be Mortar, especially on the first turn where the rebels can't help but clump all together and often end up taking some pretty substantial damage. Her Smooth Landing ability would let them all spread out a bit before the imperial gets a chance to blow them all up.
Mak should be pretty good against AO.

I was just thinking that Murne has many front line abilities (False orders and Waylay) to force hostile figures (or allies) to attack. If you can use Murne to take down figures adjacent to Verena, then Verena might get a few extra attacks with Close Quarters etc. Murne is tanky enough to hang out just behind Verena on the battlefield. Plus, with Rebel Propaganda Murne becomes a little more tanks (+2 health) and can help remove Verena's strain (which Verena acquires quick with Close Quarters). I haven't seen these two used in the same campaign but it seems like a good combo.
Murne also has Figurehead on her healthy side for strain relief.

Ha, you're right.
It just seemed like such an OP team already.

I have used MHD as a semi-melee figure. Improper procedure helps here
