Hammerhead as pocket carrier

So I have always wanted their to be a solid pocket carrier with the possibility of Flight Controllers (especially for the rebels). It might not work at all, especially since it is so fragile, but here's what I came up with. Don't pay too much attention to the objectives, I'm still working on those.

Basically there would be a small task force of Wedge, Biggs and Dutch, with the other two x-wings close by for a damage sink, and Shara would jet off right away to do her thang. Hopefully it will be enough with flight controllers to so some serious damage to squadron balls while the MC30s can run amuck.

I have also thought about dropping one of the gr-75s and demoting the other to a regular transport, and trying to squeeze in another hammerhead.

Anyways, thoughts as always much appreciated.

Squad compliment works great, and ships work great without hammerhead so dont see how this wouldnt work great.

That said why the naked flotilla? Was mothma supposed to go there?

My thought on the naked flotilla was it could push squadrons with the hammerhead. The other flotilla would head in fast with the MC30s and get a-slicing.

It's a pretty different fleets than what I'm used to, so I have no idea if that would work well. I wanted to try to Combat retrofits as the blue antis-quadron seems like it would be very nice to have.

Just a thought, if you have the naked GR-75 as the medium transports to push squadrons you could use it to focus on AS fire with the black die. It would be a cheep AS platform.

I'd concur. I also might add Leia to it, just because I always find myself needing to swap a command at some point.

I do love a black AS die, but I find it's just that much harder to be in range. There are many times enemy squads were just out of black range.

That's a good idea with Leia, but i might put it on the slicing flotilla as it will probably be closer to action and other mc30s. it would mostly be for anti slicer security. The one mc30 has a Skilled first officer for when I (inevitably) give the wrong command at the wrong moment. So it would mostly be for that second mc30.
