Superhero teams make for surprisingly good campaign concepts

Probably not all of them, but the Thunderbolts for example would make for a great Rebellion or Imperial campaign. Highly-skilled prisoners with death or life sentences are given a chance to go on suicide missions or undercover ops requiring strict deniability. Succeed for a year, and their sentence is commuted. Got your Duty and your Obligation right there. And plays into the somewhat more divided, grittier Rebellion from Rogue One.

The Runaways could be the kids of powerful Imperials, crime lords, mad scientists, and secret Force users who are all involved in a conspiracy. Realizing that their parents have been lying to them all their life, the kids grab what gear they can carry - Mando armor, lightsaber, holocron, assassin droid - and make a run for it into the Outer Rim.


Force and Destiny is basically an X-Men game already :-)
