hammerhead!

And all the people thinking you will only get one of each title. Why would FFG give you cards you can't use in one box of HH?

I don't follow Rebels but did not Kallus release before he moved into terrorism?

Just asking.

I don't know about release, but he was certainly an imp character when FFG would have been developing him.

@Drasnighta , Biggs happens before damage, not when/while, and reduces the total by 1. Then the damage is applied. Same as bright hope.

TF:A happens When suffering damage. So Biggs cannot trigger multiple times as there is only a single trigger.

My reading is that he gives command tokens.

I said that cause he different wording between Tarkin and Hondo. But my initial thought was that actually.

All I can think about with the speed chart:

So do you think Hondo will top 90% usage in major tourneys? Near auto-include for both sides? :)

So, RRG 4 DAMAGE: • When a ship suffers damage, it suffers that damage one
point at a time.

So, I think it will still only count as one instance of "taking damage," triggering Antilles only once... But I'm not sure.

At least in English, it's a valid reading either way.

The actual explicit wording is "the defending squadron or hull zone suffers that total damage, one point at a time." RRG pg.4

We don't know where the stress on the words is that would meaningfully answer this question. Does the defending ship suffer the total damage all at once but affect each damage point individually, or does it suffer one point at a time up to the damage total?

I'm adding this to my "Known Unknowns" Wave 6 FAQ thread.

Credit to FFG and the author for this line:

"The shield was disabled, and the Rebels collected the secret plans that eventually led to the destruction of the Death Star… and Armada fans everywhere thought to themselves, "All that from one facedown damage card?""

Best and most true line in a preview article ever.

Anyone else think both versions are a bit overcosted, by like 3-4 points? Just me? It doesn't seem to me like the cheap version is better than a CR90B, especially with that limited maneuver chart? Especially because they have absolutely nothing in their rear. Running 4 of them with the Antilles title should be fun though.

Edit: also no clarification on Leia. Guess we get to wait for the FAQ.

Yes me mostly did. The tokens don't stack

What about TF Antilles? Can you use it more than once?

Man, TF Organa's extreme reliance on activating in the correct order, coupled with the large number of these a Hammerhead fleet is likely to bring, means you could be looking at some serious anal paralysis with these fleets. :/

I'm apologizing now

I am voting yea on multiple uses in one attack.

This new wave has got me excited for both expansions! Hando is one of my favorite characters from both the clone wars and rebels. I think his ability matches his character too. Is this the first unique card that can used for either faction?

That can immedaitely be used by both factions? Yes.

Otherwise, the Fleet Commands are Unique, but not Rebel-Restricted by card , just by Upgrade Slot availability at the moment.

Actually, I disagree. The hammerhead was obviously pushing into the ISD over several rounds, so it would have been more than one damage card.

Despite having the most cost-effective flotilla and the Nebulon-B/ Yavaris and the Command Pelta (with All Fighters Follow Me!) you still wanted another carrier?

Yep because i wanted to acatavite 6 individual squdrons at once with 1 ship. Take 2 and ill acatavite all 12 in 2 acativions. Yes i always take 11-12 squdrons :D

MC80 Command Cruiser with Leia/Raymus and Expanded Hangars. That said, Depending on how General Leia works her+ Squadron command token and Expanded hangars could also do it on an Assault Frigate Mk2B.

True but cost comes into is as well

The torpedo corvette looks well priced, particularly due to external racks which suits it well.

However I have my doubts about the scout version. It seems overpriced.

Compared to a CR-90, for 3 points you get:

  • +2 shield, -1 hull
  • +1 evade, -1 contain. Much better TRC synergy thus better damage
  • Speed 4 and better manoeuvrability
  • Red dice in the sides and rear
  • Different upgrade slots, of which the CR-90 has arguably the better for a red dice ship

The task force upgrades are the obvious other advantage of the scout corvette. I'm not overly sold the the TF Antilles either, for the following reasons;

  • You need to stick together, which is difficult at times, and countered by Gunnery teams pretty bad
  • It costs 3 points each. Which means a minimum of 6 points as you need 2, but need more to be effective
  • The effect is rather mild as the damage still hits another ship
  • You already have contain to deal with crits, thus shuffling damage to avoid taking hull damage isn't a potential benefit
  • The synergy with shields to maximum however is amazing

7 Hammerheads all with External Racks, Task Force Antilles, a Pelta with Shields to Maxiumum and Rieekan...go go gadet spam!

Not again. I once had to deal with the 8 corvette Rieekan Swam I won but this is no fun
