New Teams upgrade cards for C-ROC Cruiser?

By SlaveofChrist, in X-Wing

Hi Folks!

Hope everything is going well ^_^ .

So I've been very curious if anyone has examined the photo's for all of the cards for the new C-ROC Cruiser release and discovered if we will be blessed with some new Teams upgrades for our fantastic Epic ships or not...

...has anyone figured this one out or heard any whisper of a 5th (or more) Teams upgrade by chance?

Thanks a bunch and God bless :D !

There was a thread that had a picture of a team called IG thug droids that change a hit to a critical, one squad point and not faction bound. It looked like a real card in the pic.

Looks very interesting...I like it! Always nice to have more choices for upgrades, glad FFG has given some love to the Teams upgrade slot. Nice powerful upgrade at only 1 point! Fantastic! Thanks again Phoenix!

I wonder if this will apply to every attack that you (being the current Epic ship in question) can make? There doesn't seem to be a limit of "once per round" and so kind of like Jan Dodonna?

Quite a difference in squad points, seems a little inconsistent in value.

You can get a lot of ships at range 1 of an Epic ship. The droids only let you upgrade a crit of your own.

It does seem a little strange, since CR90s have one more team slot than crew slot - but specifically Thug Droids uses the Team Slot AND applies just to your ship. Dodonna can only go on a huge ship, but he applies to all ships in R1 (which would be quite a bit of coverage with huge ships) and applies to an unlimited number of them. You could just stick that on an otherwise cheap GR-75, run straight up the middle and if your opponent isn't sharp enough to get out of the way and get a lot of dice mods that way. Thug Droids seems more to open up huge ships which are slugging with other ships and cost low to make them reasonable to slot into the Team Slot if you have some left over points but not really devastating because Huge ships hurt for dice mods.
