WHAT TIE INTERCEPTORS REALLY NEED IS NOT A FIX

No new cards released in between, but the meta still changed.

Only because the meta wasn't solved yet, they didn't exhaust all possible permutations. I told you, wait six months, one year, what have you, but eventually it would happen. You perceive it not happening because there's never a meta left on its own without new additions for enough time, so we never reach that point. Before the meta is entirely solved, new factors are introduced and the picture changes.

Even if the meta gets entirely "solved" it'll still solve over time. No one list beats everything else, so if something becomes the dominant archetype, people start teching to beat that and it falls off.

So I'm new to x wing but balance issues are usually not hard to spot.

If you look at the math, interceptors pay about 5 points more for action bar than other ships, and cost close to double what a basic toe costs, witch makes sense fluff wise, (double the fire power and speed, but no shields). And there aces pay a premium just to equip some shields. But they only move about 1 more than the tie basic and only get 1 more damage die.

I think honestly the best way to get them == to the other ships and allow them to be competitive in unique and tie way. Would be an upgrade for there lower PS pilots called wingman.

Wingman -3

Tie/in only

-spend evade tie/in with higher PS in range 1 (maybe 1-2) ) Can roll 1 extra attack die up to 4.

(Can't be taken with royal tie)

It would make peon interceptors capable of swarming around there Ace give there Ace disposable shield. Introduce a unique interceptor swarm and give interceptors a slight damage buff to compete while keeping them paper thin. And it's a gamble do you keep your ace in range to focus fire but sacrifice there dodge or kite enemies into coordinated fields of fire, or rush the target letting the peons die so you can win.
