Thoughts on possible tournament fleet

By Darth Sanguis, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So full disclosure, there are some weaknesses I'm already aware of, I'm hinging my bets on that blue pickle delivering it's 12 damage plus B-Y payload fast enough to put the opponent down...

-I understand that the pickle is an obvious, valuable, and easy target.
-I understand MSUs are gonna swim circles around this
-I understand this fleet is weak to squads as I have very little in terms of AA.

Other than these issues, is there anything I can do to fine tune it?

GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points)
- Bomber Command Center ( 8 points)
= 26 total ship cost

1 Tycho Celchu ( 16 points)
1 Shara Bey ( 17 points)
2 B-Wing Squadrons ( 28 points)
2 Y-Wing Squadrons ( 20 points)

I've played a variant of this without Salvation (with another Comms Net GR75). I see the purpose of Salvation (to protect the nose of the pickle with some heavier front arc fire), but you lose bid. To make up for it I had my GR75s ready to block, thereby preserving some points for a bid.

You really want to bid aggressively to get 1st player (mine was 18 points) That's what can make the hammer hit hardest.

i also went the Jan, Biggs ball route to make sure I could tie up squads. And my bomber layout was Nora, Gold, and 2 Bs (ISD melting goodness).

its a one trick pony, but it is awesome to see when that one trick works.
