I want to go with Heavy Crossbowmen army. How would you build one and how would you run it?

They had a conversation in the Runewars Tactics subforum about the Crossbowman, might want to check it out if that gives you any ideas.

2 3x1 crossbows with rank discipline a big spear block and 2 cavalry. It would be extremely flexible.

With proxies so it didn't cost a fortune to do.

i probably wont have any unit other than spearmen be the bulk of the list purely because im not buying 6-8 25USD boxes for one strat lol

Great feedback. Thanks everyone. I just want to have a mass fire army and right now I am painting Spearmen and Oathswarn so I will be ready when Crossbowmen are released.

2 3x1 spearmen is only 3 boxes

a 3x2 block can take Lance Corporal which is a big boost to offensive firepower.

I'd really love to try doing two 3x2 of crossbowmen with dispatch runner flanking a block of 3x3 Spearmen with a golem and rallying cornicen. Spearmen could charge in and attack, followed up with both crossbowmen blocks doing ranged attacks and dispatch runner to get the Spearmen to attack two more times. I doubt anything would survive that. It'd prob be impractical but boy it'd be fun to pull off that combo.
