This is also how AGoT works. After you've gotten past the determine winner step of the challenge the results are locked and it doesn't matter what happens to the character at that point.

After playing a few games, I'd have to agree with this, it's a great card with 0 cost that will fit in lots of decks. I'm already regretting not putting 3 in my crane deck (only 2). Lion doesn't need it as much, especially when they have honored blade in faction, which is probably worth the one fate to play.

Probably gonna run the Unicorn stronghold. I think that's my only known staple so far.
