I was watching, but did take a log. But i have to say, it was interesting to see a Devastator see in action.

Sorry, you do have a log or you do not have a log? If not, that's OK. If you do, then please PM me.

Mistype. Didn't take a log i mean.

Status round 3:

5 exiting games played. 1 played received a Bye.

@Dorrin314 and @JJs Juggernaut are both undefeated and have amassed an average score of 8 in 3 matches, which is quite good.

@Darth Veggie and @thecactusman17 have 1 loss each, 2 wins, but have managed to win big and are just behind the Dorrin/JJ in points.

But OC top-ranked players from r2 have not yet played... such as the @Matt Antilles vs @Tokra match.

D# means a player has dropped, so just disregard them (they also have a '0' in rank, so don't count for rankings).

What weaknesses are there in pasta recipes?

Also: will the exchange be preheated for speedier cooking, or no?

The conflict arose when rumors circulated that Mama Motti's Lasagna recipe was imbedded in the Death Star plans.

Brobafett v CaribbeanNinja

132 - 163 for a close 6-5 victory to me.

We played Broba's Cap the VIP, which was really fun. He totally forgot to capture the token, and it sat there until I picked it up with my Raider. He then killed that raider turn 6. No VIP for us!

A great game against a great opponent!

Doobleg vs SoonerTed is done! 436 - 36 to me for a 10-1 win. The mission was Advanced Gunnery.

It's worth noting that the squadron dice were SUPER-weak for Ted. He consistently rolled 4 or 5 blue dice for only a single hit. Also, EVERY SINGLE one-dice counter rolled an accuracy. This meant his squadrons were bogged down trying to take out a single Tie Advanced, rather than adding to my Rhymer-range misery.

On the flip-side, my ship dice were hot (dealing nine damage from the ISD front-arc without any re-rolling or Screed), while Ted's were cold when it counted (just two damage from three reds/blacks). Had he not been so unlucky, it's likely my ISD would have been in serious trouble.

On a lighter note, Ted's Gozanti almost killed my Demolisher. In the closing minutes of the game he threw two blue dice at the naked, token-less, 3-hull Gladiator, and got a hit/crit. Structural Damage would have seen the superior ship go down in a (hilarious) ball of flames, but alas/fortunately he took a power failure instead. :P

Thanks for the game, Ted! It was great talking with you, and hopefully I get to play you again down the line. :D

(and thanks to Green Knight for putting on this tournament - haven't said it before now, but your efforts for our community are greatly appreciated) :)

Hey @CaribbeanNinja just wanted to circle back and say thanks again for a great game! Definitely enjoyed the banter throughout, took a lot of the pressure off what turned out to be a less than ideal game for me!

Congrats on the win, and I think we need a rematch sometime to save my honor!

Emfrank vs Ginkapo

30 to 438. Played Emfranks Fighter Ambush.

Lets be fair here and point something out, Emfrank had never experienced the glory of boarding troopers before.

Deployment was fairly unexciting. ISD, VSD and Goz sitting in cloud of squadrons ready to tear the crap out of anything on the near asteroids. ISD on the left to block Demo from the rest of the fleet. Emfrank chose to deploy his fighters further back, awaiting the ISD moving closer.

First turn I banked squad tokens all around and moved my ISD towards his bomber cloud and Demo. Understandably took a bit of bomber hit for it. Demo closed slightly.

Turn 2, Mauler Mithel, Phantoms, Darth and Zertik started their annihalation of the enemy squads. 4 squad activations straight up hurts a lot. Dropped the Tie Advanced immediately and got to work on the bombers and lambdas. By Emfranks third flotilla he was out of squads to activate. Think he only got 5 squad activations that round out of the starting 9 squadrons he had. Demo moved in and got its broadside of on the ISD.

And then...

...

Boarding troopers flipped with a squad token on the ISD. Demos defence tokens exhausted, followed by Squad Dial, Rhymer Vader and a Phantom. (Mauler went early just to knock a Lambda and bomber out). ISD followed up with a front arc, dead Demo.

Turn 4 the VSD did the same thing to the Raider and rammed a Gozanti to death. Managed to chase another Gozanti down turn 5 and secure 4 victory tokens in the process.

My list is meant to be about activation quality. Being able to activate 4 squads followed by another 3 meant that none of my squads died. Yay for phantoms disengaging. Not even Dengar could control them. And its fair to say boarding troopers lets a first activation list dominate against close range brawlers.

I'd be really interested to see your list against my sloane-boarding troopers fleet...

You didnt score highly enough for that honor.

(PLus I would have first player..... so good luck with getting your boarding troopers off)

Well, maybe you two can find it out in the next round. A score of 14 vs. 15 is close enough for a match ;)

On second thought...

@Matt Antilles VS @Tokra will be tomorrow around 5pm GMT.

PT106 vs Moodswing just finished with 400-68 in my favor. Moodswing was a first player and we played my Opening Salvo.

We did pretty conservative deployment and started to slowly move towards each other while I was trying to protect my flagship from Demo. The key development happened at the end of round 2 when Moodswing sent his Demolisher for a kill: with Jonus help he one-shot one of my Raiders and threatened to kill Gozanti first activation next round. However, my Demo ended up being able to catch up and move to a close range and with a lucky accuracy was able to kill it with a 2 reds and 6 blacks opening shot. The dance continued afterwards but with dice gods serevly abandonig moddswing he ended up being tabled with the last Decimator activation round 6.

That was a complex chess match against a good opponent and could've end up totally different if not for a hot dice at several key occasions.

@RStan vs @Aresius will be starting in an hour at 6 PM US Eastern time.

@Rocco79 Vs @ManInTheBox
Win to Rocco: 338 to 30

I had option of initiative but decided to try second to play my objectives. It was a mistake! We played my Navigational Hazards.

My corvettes were all over the place and couldn't concentrate fire. Only one survived. All of Rocco's ships AND squads survived and my only points were from the objective. I'll upload the logfile tomorrow if anyone wants to see my car-craash decision making. Well doine to Rocco. he played well and was a pleasant opponent.

@Irishmadcat Vs @PodRacer

Win to Irishmadcat 293 v 67

Liberty took out both glads in one activation and it was a winddown from then. Great opponent.
