I dunno, the guy in the quote still makes anime even though he's annoyed. I think it's pretty apt right now.

The same faces crying nerf/buff all the time (Maybe time to block some of them). Some of them so faction locked, that they are feeling "their" faction is treated unjust. Feels like a kindergarten sandbox.

Not very fun right now....might be an explanation why many well known posters are rarely seen nowadays.

Only genuine positive part is the painting and modding subforum.

I think that my quality of posts are declining for the reason that my limit is challenged everyday and I get provoked at daily basis. I used to be able to leave those kind of a posts alone, but not anymore so easily.

I do value the forum but lately I've been fighting and scrolling through jungle of poop everyday in every single topic. I do think daily that I should leave this forum alone, I am happier without at the moment, but I would love to read and discuss the game though.

Honestly, normally if you wanted to see this much salt and circle jerking on here you'd have to go to the gunboat thread.

Did Hasbro buy the forum with all these Nerfs ?

You realize I'm poking fun at everybody who's complaining right?

There will always be whining because someone isn't happy. The forums have had this since day one with the tie swarm. Nothing but the target of the whine has changed.

It's like any other forum where people get salty because;

a) the game designers don't see it their way

b) their pet faction isn't autowin right now

c) it wasn't like that in the movie

d) they nerfed the wrong ship/too much/too little/the ship you like the most

e) all of the above

Basically there could be good conversations and community, but instead we have what we have now. Next there will be replies because people realise I'm talking about them and they will

f) get defensive about being called on their crap

Interestingly, if you look at it, the most salt on the forum lately seems to be reactive, not proactive. Some recent threads and posts have begun in a manner that is well thought, worded, and have had recent data to back there points, which, might arguably be the best output on a forum (even if it has a rant feel about it). Thankfully, many retorts or debates have also been founded in thought, experience and data points. Sure there also exists trolls and simply childish outbursts, but overall, it's a free-form forum so that occurs from time to time.

With that in mind, the real point I'm getting at is it seems lately the saltiest salt has come from posters who attempt to shut down the reports, findings or opinions of those who have logic and rational bolstering their salt. So, in simple terms, I think complaint or challenge threads are rather the standard mild salt now and those who simply don't like what they have read bring the most NaCl with apparently lesser amounts of data and rational. Maybe this has an ebb and flow, IDK, I haven't been in this wonderful game all that long.

Yes, the forum has salt, but if the salt is the result of passion, that's good for the game, h***, it's good for any endeavor.

The frequency of it has changed though. It's constant whining in every thread all the time, with very little else. There used to be meaningful conversations as well as complaints.

I just wish half the members here (maybe more) would just quit, sell their stuff, and never darken these forums again. There are people who still like and want to continue to like the game.

I don't want anyone to quit, that makes the community smaller. What I would like is people to start looking at things objectively, but that isn't going to happen. The state of the game is pretty dang good as of right now, my only plight with it is still TLT but I'm not going to complain about it because I know it gets utterly face stomped by certain lists, and vice versa.

I don't get this disconnect. It's possible to like the game but point out it's flaws.

Yes it is. But I hardly think you can just write off every whine post as "pointing out its flaws".

"FFG hates imperials!" This is a game flaw?

When someone asks how much it will cost them to build the world's winning list with their very first post on this forum and they get responses about how terrible a person that are for being jumpmaster curious, that's not "pointing out game flaws."

That's miserable, *** people being miserable and *** towards other people because the game doesn't function the way they believe it should.

Does the game have flaws? Yes, and I welcome intelligent discourse on it. But more and more, intelligent discourse has given way to pointless temper tantrums and lashing out. It's pathetic.
