Also noticed Adar missed some of the upgrades on Ebb/Flow, which I can fill in!

One control upgrade that makes you commit a force die until the end of the encounter, For every check in the encounter roll a force die to all skill checks, Either pip can add success or advantage to the check, BUT dark side pips cause user to suffer 1 strain and gain 1 conflict.

Multiple strength upgrades, first that allows for strain to be healed/inflicted for 1 pip, second which can be used to increase advantage or threat for 1 pip, and third which increases failure or success for 1 pip, all which can be used multiple times.

Range upgrade for 2 pips to affect all OTHER characters at short range.

The last control upgrade is pretty cool as it really powers up the base power. For Ebb it allows you for once a session if a target has suffered five strain, cause an automatic despair on their next check. For Flow, once per session again, if you have healed 5 strain from this power in the session your next check gets an automatic triumph. Note both once per sessions seem independent by the RAW so you could use both in a single session.

Oh. Oh man, I just realized! If Aggressive Negotiations is the name of a talent in this book, that means it's not going to be the name of the Warrior book!

Oh no! Back to the drawing board :( !

Well, it is the release date. Presumably lots of people will get it today... even if I won't get my copy until next week.

So the Imbue force power allows you to spend 2 force pips to increase an engaged char's characteristics by 1 to a max of 6 until the force users next turn, if you used a dark side pip if will grant the target a second characteristic an increase too, at the cost of 3 strain to both the target and the user.

Other notes for now about the specs-

Arbiter is very heavy in the negotiation field with Improved Savvy Negotiator which allows them to make a hard Negotiation check to convince a bystander to see one point of the users opponent to seem "maliciously unreasonable". Arbiter also gets Crucial Point which allows them to introduce a potential concession that an opponent will do nearly anything to obtain in a Negotiation(Stress on occurring in a negotiation situation rather than other social skills) once per session. Combat wise the Arbiter has 2 ranks in reflect, 1 rank in parry and improved sunder which causes two steps of destruction per advantage. Has both dedication and force rating.

Ascetic is my black horse favorite spec, getting some cool talents for sure. First it has two ranks in Force protection maneuver which allows the ascetic to suffer 1 strain to commit force die to increase soak per force die until the beginning of the next turn. Next is Intense focus maneuver which allows them to suffer one strain to upgrade next ability of the next skill check once (Seems like a universal True Aim). The next two talents are tied together a little bit with each requiring the char to have 2 encumbrance or less in items; first is Iron Soul which if you have the prerequisite stated allows you to heal all strain at the end of EACH encounter, second is Empty soul which gives you an automatic light and dark side pip for any force power check. This spec is really a sweet fit for any force-focused char. Has both dedication and force rating and 5 ranks of grit in the tree.

Teacher is very much what the name suggests. It has 2 ranks in Skilled Teacher which allows you to do an incidental before an ally npc in short range uses a skill that they have less ranks in than you and by suffering a number of strain equal to ranks in Skilled Teacher, to add automatic success to that check equal to the amount of strain you suffered. Wise warrior is next which allows you to use an incidental before a combat check to use any characteristic you want for the check at the cost of 1 Destiny point, the improved version allows you to select an ally within short range to also benefit from this ability. Teacher also has encouraging and master instructor, which i believe already exist in previous specs somewhere as well as the already spoiled Once A Learner and Now The Master talents

Now I want the details all the more! I'm gonna stop by my game store on my lunch, see if they'll have it in stock by the end of the day. Probably not, 'cause of the holiday on Monday, but I'll check. If so, I'll make a point to spoil the tree layouts and other things for y'all. Assuming no one else beats med to the punch!

The first Signature Ability is Much To Learn with the ability that if you pass a Hard Knowledge(Education) Check, you can give an allied char in a medium range that talent for the rest of the encounter(same ranks as you would have if applicable). Upgrades include; Increase number of allies affected, destiny point reduction, reduce difficulty, Change skill to Leadership, Change skill to any other knowledge check, allow giving improved version of a talent, and finally allowing sharing of supreme versions of talents.

Second Signature Ability is Unmatched Negotiation which is used as an incidental once per game session , and for the rest of the round whenever you do any Charm, Coercion, Deception or Negation check, you downgrade the check enough to remove all red dice. Upgrades include duration increases, destiny point reduction, remove setback, Increase effect to allow allied chars in engages range to downgrade difficulty of previously mentioned checks by 1, increase range to affect allows within medium range, and finally if you would ever fail any of those 4 checks you automatically add a triumph to the check(however it does not count as a success to the check).

1) It is indeed called Improved sunder.

2) Just Empty Soul is a force talent

3) Encouraging Words makes so if an an engaged ally ever fails a check, you may suffer a strain to assist their next check this encounter as an incidental

Woops, Arbiter does get a rank of Congenial, 3 ranks of Savvy Negotiator, and Calming Aura.

Passenger Capacity of 10, 1 year of consumables, 2 million credits/ rarity 10

6 hard points and no weapons

Special rules for it giving automatic success and advantage to Lore and Astrogation Checks and Once per session each char can perform a Hard perception check to scavenge parts for a lightsaber up to 1k credits

Do the two force powers have a higher force rating requirement than 1?

Also am I reading right that as part of any skill check you can activate Ebb/Flow?

Anyway, here's the skinny: my FLGS does always have shipment issues the week of holidays, but they are making an especial effort to get the book in today. I'm gonna head in after work to check, and if they have it, I'll let y'all know.

I do have other things I need to do tonight (going to the gym for one :P ), but if the book is in I will make sure to give the full layouts for everything and answer all the currently extant questions before I go to bed.

Me too :) . My guess is they got a lot of those!

I just got a response back saying thy'll get it to the proper department. (my guess is that they did).

Can anyone post the specialization tree layouts. Absol's text format will do in a pinch, but photos are better. I posted photos the one time I got to spoil and I did not get a cease and desist and the mods didn't take it down. Given that RLOUGE177 also posts spec trees in this thread

Like doc the Weasle did before him, and nobody told either of them to stop either, and it's OK to photocopy specs... I am pretty darn sure that FFG is OK with it.

If someone is feeling especially generous I'm also interested in the signature abilities.
