Old L5R Junk foils?

By SavageTofu, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Howdy,

I think... I'll be lucky to get a box of new L5R LCG by Christmas. I'm not paying more than retail.

I am interested in making proxy's of new L5R. Just wondering if anyone has bulk foils of old L5R they wouldn't mind parting with? To be truthful, I am not sure how easily they are to acetone. I guess we will find out.

Happy Shiny L5R LCG!

I have a number of old foils, but they're mostly singletons. The only foils I have in 'bulk' are Shinbone Warriors and Shinbone Packs, 40 of each, natch.

Do you need L5R foils specifically? I have quite a few Magic foils that don't deserve to be foil.

Right now, I would be experimenting. I proxied VS System foils no problem. Using acetone on the cards is time consuming. Some VS foils were more difficult to acetone than others.

Printing out cards on transparency will probably cost more than thee actual L5R box.

You have me curious. What exactly are you trying to do? Do you have picture examples?

The way the foil cards are made you can actually remove what's printed on it, leaving just a shiny blank card. You then print the desired card on a transparent film that you put on the blank foil and Voilà ! :D

Ah, I always thought that as the whole card didn't appear foiled the foil was always cut. The more you know
